I went thru this with my daughter some years back. All I wanted was to see my little girl & to be her daddy (like I’m meant to be) but her mother stopped my access when I began a relationship with my current partner (now happily to say ‘my wife’). I represented myself in court & payed all the fees & did all the paperwork for both sides etc because a lawyer was too dear & I utterly nailed it💪....I wish I could say that I took tremendous satisfaction in how things turned out, but really I didn’t care about ‘sticking one on her’ ....I just wanted time with my little girl, that’s all. Some men are bastards-but most of us are just men.

As a young girl, my mother remarried after my father left her with 3 children. This man came from Austria, a very strong but kind man. Most of our lives were spent outdoors hiking, fishing, skiing, etc... I adored him for that and 60 years later, I have the most wonderful memories of those times. We hiked the Sierra Nevada, and at times I just thought I was going to die of exhaustion. He encouraged me to keep going, and I’m so grateful for that. The beauty I saw was breathtaking! He wasn’t just a father, he was a daddy to a little girl who needed one. I respect men so much because of him.

After a private conversation with Bjorn, I've decided to say something. This is an important topic to me. The father/son relationship is extremely important on many levels. I've lost a son. He was in his early 20's. It is the most painful thing that I've ever had happen to me. Truthfully, it still anguishes me. We cherish our offspring and when one dies, it takes an enormous toll. I would give anything to be able to go back and trade places with my son, letting him live on. Bjorn does a great job in this video and in many of his others, explaining the importance of family and the special relationships that fathers can have with sons. Thank you, Bjorn. Along the way, watching your videos, you've helped me deal with my anguish.

Bjorn👍👍 I'm a father of twin boys and have a great relationship with them, even though I was divorced when they were but four and a half years old. I made sure to be a dad to them all through their youth and still to this day. They turn 40 tomorrow the first of March. Now they're grown men, but hunting, fishing, camping, wilderness adventure, etc. was and is part of their life, something we did together just like you and your son😊 Well done sir. Enjoy!

This may be my favorite video so far. I wasnt raised without a father, I was raised by a shitty father. When I had my sons it became obvious to me that 99% of being a father is just showing up for the job. Theres no great secret or mystery to being a father, just be there for your children. By no means have I done everything right but you dont have a chance to fix your mistakes if you never try. You shouldn't be afraid to make mistakes because a father's mistakes have a chance to teach both the father and the children a valuable lesson. 🍻

So I agree that lawful yet wrongly evil policy which threatens family is abrasive to the fabric of physical earthly existence. I enjoy that your videos touch on heavily serious subject matter in a uniquely stoic and worldly, lighthearted manner. Some of the best memories are in nature. I’m so grateful to be alive on this earth, with my son. I am a divorced single father in USA. But, my son, who is a happy young man who laughs a lot (not necessarily because something is funny but also because he is happy), who does not often speak in words that are understandable to anyone but a speech expert, proves that Reader’s Digest was correct in affirming that laughter is the best medicine! I loved this video most of all. Great words to live by! I have two of my children, the youngest two, living with me now, but the older three live with their Mother and Grandmother in another part of the country. Up until recently I was able to see them every Christmas, every Summer, and every Spring Break. Recently, though, their Mother has been finding ways to keep us apart. It is a battle to even get her to honor agreements in the documents we have, the contract we made, even for phone calls and video chats. Unfortunately I will have to live with the lost time until it can be rectified, and they will blame me even though I have been the one initiating visits and going to pick them up. It is unfortunate, but it is not their fault. We even had a camp out in the wilderness of Washington the last time I saw them... I am deeply thankful for those moments, they teach me so much, and thankful at least two of my children are with me. There IS certainly a war on families and even so-called Conservative women tend to view the Father as non-essential, despite what studies have shown.

Dear Mr. Bull-Hansen, Your videos are informative, constructive, enlightening, and comforting. There are many other positive remarks, that apply, that I’m sure others have mentioned. Since I am a retired Lady (in North America), whose children are grown; it may seem silly that I enjoy your videos. However- your videos bring back wonderful memories of my childhood. I’m also reminded of the ways of my Father. Things that he taught me, long ago. He has since passed on, but I’m certain he would be pleased to know that there is at least one, honest & good ‘real’ man here to guide others. Your best intentions, offered to others. Thank you for all that you do. May our Heavenly Father continue to bless you & your Loved Ones, with good health & joy. Amen! Best wishes- Nina

The sound of the ice is amazing. It's a sound I have never heard before in the UK.
