Recap confuses more than movie.. 1. Coral mask is Red Herring she just uses to some kind of face rejuvenation snake oil, the step daughter even vaguely comments on it. 2. Linda trying to enter especially when the Husband and Coral are in the house is past, non-linear timeline, after which she commits suicide with the kid. 3. Demonic entities from the Limbo where she is trying to take mother's soul to hell while mother's soul trying to save son's soul from evil fate.

For instance, could they see the little brother, even tho he died; did they really see and talk to the mother at the door, over and over; if Coral wasn't the "wicked stepmother", then why did she carry the knife and then lie about why she had it, only to chase the stepdaughter worth it in hand outside of the house? There's so much more that confused me and left things unsolved nor having some kind of conclusion.

Okay had to look online and see what people thought. Reddit people said they think the dad cheated on the mom with coral and so she killed the son and her in the car and they died. The son was haunting the house and something was trying to get him to go to the darkside but the mom and the one lady who helps ghosts and can see them was trying to convince him to go to the light. Coral was wearing anti-aging red light mask but also losing it bc of the hauntings. Daughter could see the hauntings in pics and stuff but not as much as coral. Dad would leave a lot bc he was feeling the guilt and hauntingsm daughter came home drunk and coral stabbed her on accident and flipped out and called husband and got run over by accident. Also they said the dark thing was created from the suicide murder thing being such a dark act.

I think Carol was the Mom and the dad let her create a new person so she don’t remember that she tried to kill herself and the son which is why she stares at herself with the mask she is possessed. The son is the ghost and the dad always leaves because he sees him and doesn’t bring up his mom. The daughter is going crazy and doesn’t want to be like her mom who she didn’t know is Carol who possessed and when she saw carol with the knife she finally saw her mom and thought she would kill her that’s why she ran and they all are ghost except for the dad who is crazy because his wife killed both the kids 🤷🏽‍♀️ it did suck 🤣
