I'm speechless, he's genius.. Normally when I discover new music I feel compelled to share it with the world but this song didn't just tug on my heartstrings, it overcame my soul. I'm going to be selfish and keep this on to myself. So incredible.

Father John is a "breakthrough" artist...speaks in spheres of consciousness that only those who gather around that sphere are attracted to aa shared deep "knowing . What makes Father John revolutionary is the sphere has it's own energy and is growing. I saw a 2018 video, from Denmark...and Father John's energy field reached back at what seemed to be a half-mile into the crowd. Like very few before him, Father John has the "juice". Watch whappens next.

I got on the Father John misty wagon later but not too late!, came across him back in December. uniquely my sort of different music that is pretty much one of a kind. I like this album too!!!

well it's all because of that ONE song that he launched like crazy... so to see people just standing at his shows until he plays it kills me. Especially when they talk during his solo acoustic stuff... it really bothers me. He played a show in Austin and during the encore, he played an acoustic song that was very intimate, but I couldn't hear a thing because people wouldn't shut the fuck up. Makes me sad. I love this dude.

A guy who calls himself "Father John Misty" has recorded a song called "I Love You, Honey Bear". We have reached peak twee-ness. I REPEAT, WE HAVE REACHED PEAK TWEE-NESS. RED ALERT. RED ALERT.
@lemonmanthe5th9 жыл бұрын
you should probably listen to it- he's like the anti-twee incarnate.
@arwenivy779 жыл бұрын
lemonmanthe5th I did...not bad, though calling the audience "my beautiful babies" during the pre-song banter didn't exactly subtract from his twee-point score, haha. Though if you like this, you might also like Hiss Golden Messenger or Sun Kil Moon's "Ghosts of the Great Highway".
