You have many english writen documentations, and it would be easier if you could share me the original for I use them and translate into french. I use blue letter Bible. What version of the Bible is the most accurate to use do you know. I tried the Septuagint but it’s in Greek. Thank you for the alephbet downloads.

Shalom. Appreciate the comment. KJV and ESV seem to match the literal Hebrew meanings more than the other versions from what I’ve seen. For studying I use Bible Hub since it’s a bit easier for me than blue letter. Here’s a link to one of our Q&A videos on how I look up words on their website. Shalom, we’ll a look at it and get back to you. At first glance, the bet (b) is not part of the root word, it’s a prefix, so the word you’re looking for is quf-nachash-hey

Shalom. I don’t have a straightforward answer for you, but here are a few thoughts: It looks to me like the word qaneh is only translated as “branch” when referring to the menorah. Otherwise, it’s mainly translated as “reed” and a few times as “measuring rod.” The letter quf can be found in several words having to do with straight lines and measurements because of the horizon line in the letter, so that makes perfect sense why it’s in the word for a reed or measuring rod which are both typically long and straight. Water reeds happen to be a great place to find nachash (snakes), but we don’t know if that’s why Father placed the letter nachash in this particular word. As for the menorah, there’s some debate on whether its “branches” were originally curved or straight, but in any case, calling them qaneh - the same name as “reeds” - would imply they were similar to reeds in some way. I don’t know enough about reeds or the menorah to give you a better answer unfortunately. Appreciate the comment and hope you enjoy your paleo studies. Shalom unto Jerusalem.

This is my very first attempt at a word. Branch. In Hebrew, Google translates branch to this ענף Is it Ayin/nachash/peh Eye/snake/mouth? There are 27 references to branch in strongs Old Testament (blue letter Bible). It does not tell me which one is used in Exo 25:33 in KJV. In the (blue letter Bible) WLC Leningrad codex branch ‎ענף Is not found in the Old Testament at all. And only shows in Eze 17:8 This is really hard. Because I don’t know which one matches up with my first attempted word branch in Exo 25:33 Regards Caroline

Glad you found it, we’ll reply on your other comment. One note: google is not the best thing to use for looking up biblical Hebrew since it may give you the modern Hebrew word and there have been a lot of words added to the language since Biblical times. Shalom unto Jerusalem
