I started putting cinnamon and vanilla in my pancakes a while back when you first told us that and I love them that way. Kinda similar to French toast flavor. Thanks for sharing that.

This is great. I remember the day I showed my youngest how to make pancakes, she is now the official pancake maker here. She uses some syrup in the pancake mix and they are so good. Spending time like this creates so many awesome memories.

My mother used to let me help her in the kitchen. When my now 12 yr old grandson was small, he would stand on a step stool and help me bake his birthday cake...i miss both those times but am so grateful to have had them. ❤

Squeeze bottles work really good for drawing shapes like bottles for ketchup & mustard. Looks like fun I use to do this for my kids when they were small.

I'm a single mom that had five kids. For Christmas I would let each one pick out a recipe and we put the music on loud and we just bake and bake and bake and then we'd fill up little gift houses and take him to all the senior citizens in the neighborhood. I remember one time when I had Paradise by the Dashboard Light playing by Meatloaf one of my daughters who had on black pants and had flour all over herself got up on the chair and held a spoon for her microphone singing every word to that song. It's a great memory!

Me and my kids used to make Sunday sundaes we would take turns picking out our favorite flavor of boxed cake batter chocolate was our favorite we would mix it up then poor it into the waffle iron and cook a chocolate waffle then we would put ice-cream and toppings on top of the choclate waffle those were some good times 😊and it was delicious 😋

How fun!! I used to do this with my family at Christmas morning and sometimes on weekends. We made stars, circles with ears, zig zag designs and our name. Lex did great and Lester yours was good too. Glad ya'll had a good time together, that's what is important.

Next time pour the batter into condiment squeeze bottle and it makes it a lot easier to make shapes and details. You can then add color to bottles.

I would walk or ride my bike 2 miles to my grandparents. Gran would make hotcakes ( the best) cook bacon. We drank hot tea. Those are the best memories. I treasure them.❤❤

My daughter wasn’t really interested in cooking or baking when she was growing up. I used to bake a LOT and she never wanted to help. Now that she’s a mom she’s an amazing cook. I don’t know where she got it from because she never watched me. She doesn’t like baking as much as I did, but she’s a hell of a cook! Now I think Lex should make pancakes for PawPaw and Gigi next time he’s there. They would be so thrilled. Good job kiddo 👍🏼

Yes to pancakes, especially made with buttermilk. Add a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg. Even a bit of vanilla. Yum. Of course you need REAL MAPLE SYRUP! And it has to come from Vermont. 🥞🥞🥞

I love watching this video Lester and Lex. But I would have poured that batter into a Freezer Size Baggie, push the batter down to the corner in the bottom, and cut a small piece of that corner off the baggie when your ready to pour. That way all the batter doesn't come pouring out too fast. You can make the Shapes First, then fill it in better. I am still watching this so far when I post this comment.

Lester I live 20 minutes from Philadelphia Pennsylvania close enough that we love ❤️ Philadelphia Sports. My father and my sister used to go down to the Phillies Game with the hospital that he worked at! We took a bus! I haven’t been down there in years! My Father died in 2014 My time is now my son is my life and I am with him 24/7. Eagles 🦅 rule! Perfect!

My son told me that he promised buns for something at school. I looked at him and said to get busy. He made the most delicious buns! When I made bread and buns, my daughter would stand on a chair beside the 20 lb bag of flour and lay in it almost up to her armpits! Yes, she was washed up. She didn't want to add the flour, but she loved the texture of the flour. Wonderful memories ❤

My grandson's and I instead of rice krispy treats we used popcorn, and made marshmellow popcorn balls, so good. Buttering our hands so they don't stick.
