I've never forgotten a review in Time Out of the first episode that said it had no chance and wasn't funny because all the characters were crazy and there was no normal point of view for the viewer to identify with. Never has a reviewer been so wrong. It's hard to think of another TV comedy that has such a degree of cultural penetration and love.
