Wangari here, raising a nine year old boy , ive loved the conversation, and the realness. I'm here to the end of the conversation, ive loved what Abel has said about as a woman i can't be everything for my son, and i am grateful to God for teaching me this early on in my mothering journey. It's true, take up the role of making a date with a son and engaging them .

Judy as always, a great show. What I love about your shows is that they teach, help us know that our experiences are more or else the same and most importantly, you come up with ways in which to help the wider society. I love the idea of mentoring boys and helping mums who are rearing them. Be blessed.

I've finally watched this conversation...thanks Bi Mkurugenzi... it has evoked a lot of emotions😢😢 coz some (actually almost all) childhood situations are relatable. It's amazing all has healed from their childhood now but what I've not picked up from THE FATHER WOUND is how they healed (The Healing Journey), the steps they took. Like did it take a therapy, a good friend or what else.

Buana Iam a female with daddy issues since childhood...he was abusive, kutupiga kunitusi, vit affected me hadi wa leo....im still struggling with self esteem issues, iam 24, built my life and im happy naprogress well , nilijipeleka outside country and skuizi ni beshteangu mbaiyaaaa, but najua ananitumia juu ni pesa tu ananiomba , we don't talk, and hes never asked for forgiveness. Although nilimsomea, he felt guilty. I reminded him of all the insults and everything he ever did to me....i hated men halg of my life, but now i saw my siblings happily married snd i started processing everything differently. I got to understand that not all mem are or will be like my Dad. I almost ruined my life because of him, nikiwa form 3 i gave up, became so laid back, nikidhani naumiza mzae kufail exam but it was my life i was ruining kumbe ..i realized that when i was 22😂 after amenididown . I have really enjoyed this conversation. I am currently a mum of two boys expecting my third boy next month and let me tell you my husband has really taught my boys to be young men. Those rough games making them walk to the kinyozi by themselves and come back home with the proper change. Doing manual work with them my 8 year old and 6 year old have been toughened by their dad. If I did not have him they would surely be soap soap boys

Nice Convo..so let me talk about something unique Single dad's...well I was raised up by a very present ..loving and strict dad..together with 2 boys and dads driver so I was the only girl ...he was so intentional about Education he partitioned part of sitting room and made a library reading newspapers and books daily was Mandatory..( he was an educational officer) when the hse help wasn't around he would cook ugali..and taught us how to cook mboga ...going to sunday school was mandatory...sadly when I was doing my KCPE in 2010 he died but he used to tell me to promise him that I will go to Alliance that was his desire and few weeks before he died he came to my school..took me out for a lunch date..bought me new glasses and made me promise him that I will go to Alliance.I worked so hard to go be called to his dream school.by God's grace I was called to Alliance but sadly I couldn't go so I gave my letter to a neighbour ..but still went thru highchool now doing my masters in Europe...
