Yes we need the priests to speak up.2 great priests in the Dominicans, Tralee county kerry afew years ago always spoke the truth with clarity and everyone loved them. ALSO a great orientation from limerick, he used to say ,I'll go down too meaning HELL,if I don't preach the truth, afew of many wonderful priests I listened to.
