Pope Francis has divided the Catholic Church into a protestant-like number of dioceses with every bishop doing thjngs as he seems fit. The Catholic Church is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. The only reason that I can think of is, that they want to deconstruct the Church until it conforms to their vision, and consequently ceases to be Catholic, becoming instead an anti-Christ quasi-religion that would be anathema to any Bible believing Christian. They couldn't do that if they left. I don't think the Protestant religion is extreme enough for, or would facilitate, their agenda. In the absence of the protection of an apparently immoveable Papal Authority, the Protestants would undoubtedly kick them out. IMHO.

The Mass was there from the beginning - Christ instituted it on Holy Thursday. While the Apostles did go forth and preach what Jesus taught them, the Mass predates the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John set out in the Bible.

That is why no unbaptized person can receive Holy Communion.
