The Fatips are great shavers and very inexpensive. Especially the Fatip Piccolo open comb v2 version( v2 is after 2017 the top cap is a tad wider, more tamed) as I was saying the Fatip Piccolo open is one of my favorite razors. Smooth and efficient. All brass razor for under 20 euros. 👍

The Fatip Special Edition is stunning. It has an eye-catching, attention grabbing, allure. The color motif gives this razor a sense of elegance that would compel many to assume it is well over £100.00. The bonus element to this edition was the highly feared, and touted open comb! In matching gold tone no less. I hope this Fatip SEd has moved into a permanent place in your razor collection. Wickham's is in a class all its own. I will always be grateful for your gracious introduction to this amazing soap. I still enjoy the Russian Leather, and Buddha Wood sets to this very day. That Parker synthetic has a terrific spine which makes lathering a snap. Not to mention it can be thrown through a windshield if you need to defend yourself. The anecdote of Tangerine Todd: The Tuber Barber of Fleet Street was hilarious! I wonder if the reason he would always ask if you were there for a haircut was he was hoping you one day would say "No. A Brazilian wax, please." Perhaps he did go to prison voluntarily. There he could have as many husky blokes as he wants. Well done as usual, my friend. I bought the Ikon SBS head from Maggard's. Chippy for dinner then?

My absolute favourite razor. Something about the angle of the blade just works great for me. A daily driver for me. Mild razors give me mad ingrowns. I have the standard and just purchased this edition. Excited to try both different plates.

Watched your video and including 100 others ... I was using a electric razor forever.. due to all you alls videos i purchased a feather ASD2 DE with a feather blade ....omg best shave ever. Cant wait till the next shave. This is an amazing DE shaver. Hello Kevy. The Fatip Piccolo open comb after 2017 was tamed. It's not nowhere near the older model that was a beast. The new Piccolo is an amazing razor. All brass for under 20 bucks. The special edition you got is the new version. The Fatip razors are amazing and very very inexpensive. The Fatip Gentile is the one that is a closed comb. You said the the open comb was aggressive, no it's not true. The new version is mild to medium

Nicely done Kevy. That Fatip looks posh and shaved the mug super. Wickhams soaps get great reviews such as this one. Fatip razors are amazing. All brass razor for 20 bucks?!! I love my OC Fatip Piccolo. Smooth and efficient and very comfortable. I also have the Gentile, blows my Merkur 34c out of the water. If you don't like adjusting the blade alignment, I do, it could be the only downside. I give my Piccolo and Gentile 9 out of 10.

That Is a great razor! The oc plate is not as aggressive as the older Fatips, as they redesigned the top cap to be a little wider, so less blade reveal and chatter. I did pick up a few brushes, the starcraft and green bot from paa, as well as the new brush scuttle that paa had for sale. Also picked up the red and black synthetic with the timberwolf knot from Maggards, and the new barrister and Mann vespers set. Great shave my friend!

It's a great razor. Very good performer with different blades at different growths. Using the O/C head is very easy to get BBS with any blade. The C/C head (gentile) is efficient with sharper blades, but for daily drivers, a Derby Extra or other comfy but less sharp blade can get free irritations DFS. And it's a damn sexy razor and currently my favourite non-adjustable.

IIRC the Piccolo designation is in regards to the handle. It is short and solid, whereas the Grande is a good bit longer and is hollow.

I've used it once, started off on setting 5 with a 2nd use Feather blade, found it a little aggressive on the 2nd pass so reduced it to 4 and it worked a treat, on my face and head. I'll try it with a less aggressive blade on a higher setting next time and judge the result.

Funny story. I have a friend who had the same carrot juice scenario. Hilarious to see it occurred to someone else. I’m guessing maybe the barber was weeding out possible salesman from customers? It feels a little milder with the plate I used than a DE89 but it still gave me a great shave. Very smooth and if I want more aggression, I can use the open comb baseplate. It's a nice razor to have in the den. Cheers. Kevy 😀👍

Want a perfect shave? Buy a Kilo brick of Cella Italian shaving soap, a damn good boar brush from Semogue and the Fatip picollo open comb. The blades wich you feel most confortable. All are pretty inexpensive. Trust me 30 years in wet shaving...You don't need any fancy goods.

Great shaving video, but you really seemed to have an issue with that London Barber you were telling people about. The way you imitated his voice (camp) and the "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" suggestion that he was somehow "creepy" seemed a bit much. Maybe he offered OTHER things that just a "hair cut"? Shaves, manicures, other older things? Who knows. Why assume that it would be stuff that would land him in "prison"?

Another great shave Kevy! Love Wickhams soaps and the scent on the balms last longer than some splashes I have. I have a Fatip Testina Gentile in a gunmetal finish which gives a cracking shave but the finish started wearing off from the very first use revealing the brass underneath, could annoy some people but I quite like it’s new worn finish.
