Versys 650 2008 Water Pump Leaking Repair

If your Kawasaki Versys 650, ER-6n/f or KLR650 water pump has leaking issue, hope this video can help out in away.
You need to purchase the mechanical seal, oil seals and 3x O-Rings.

I found out it may be the balancer shaft that’s leaking oil and that may need replacement, Do you think stopleak in the oil ? Can take care of the issue?

I changed all the seals and gaskets... There is oil seeping from the cam shaft? Is that natural?

I did like you and heated it up but I still could not take it off. Could you tell me exactly how could you take it off ? thanks.

Someone else said there’s a breakin period and leaking will occur for a short period , but after about ten miles worth of riding...the seal should start working and no leak? Does that make sense?

Nope.. it shouldn't happen.

I changed out the seals, but there’s still oil seeping out the weeping hole. Any thoughts? Do I need to change something else out?

It is advisable to replace these once it is opened: Part No. / Description: 92049-0115 / SEAL-OIL,12x28.55X5; 92055-0082 / RING-O, CASE HOUSING; 92055-0083 / RING-O; HOUSING-PUMP COVER; 92055-1155 / RING-O, 33.2MM; 49063-1055 / SEAL MECHANICAL

Did you change the 92049-0115 Oil Seal? Likely this is the seal that caused the leak.

@jason watch the video min 16:50. After installing the seal I tried to remove it again by pry it out again...by doing that I somehow damaged it although cannot be seen from our naked eye. I re-purchased #0115 and it solved the overall issue. It is running smoothly until today.
