This Cleo is now right up there with my favorite Preserve civ- Pachacuti. I love him simply because he does similar things to this, but uses tiles no one else can even touch. If I played multiplayer, I'd love taking either one of them as a troll civ, because anyone who conquered me would shrivel up and die as the cities become totally useless.

Kupe is also pretty fun with preserves. He doesn't have any appeal boosts but he can choose the best place to settle and catch up quickly with the extra bonuses he gets to unimproved tiles from the marae building. You can get some pretty tasty yields from preserves with him.

Can you please make a challenge of max yields ever seen on CIV with Cleopatra? Make a custom map with flooded desert plains + Maui (to create the resources to activate the leader’s ability) + Apocalypse mod and Soothsayers + Nazca + Great Bath + Preserves + Ley Lines (or vampire castles) + Petra. I'm really loving this version of Cleo. I think she's way more fun (and maybe better) than the new Mali leader just because of her insane early bonuses compared to his awful start but amazing late game.

I only pin the top tile of national parks with the park pin. When I'm feeling good about the plan, I'll fill them in with the plant trees pin. That way I can always tell which national park is which when they are next to each other and it's easy to find the best preserve spots. The plant trees pin helps keep me from placing a district there. But I also toggle off my pins frequently.

what a strange way to play civ. I just build preserves around natural wonders. I think the preserves would work for useless terrain like tundra and desert. national parks are hard to make its really picky. Whats the performance like doing this way. I go the normal builder route. I have 4 over 100 prod one with 245
