The WHOLE team was at fault but the GK was atrocious, how many errors did she make? and every single goal that went in she pulled her arms away, how many miss kicks did she do? actually watch the game the GK was the biggest problem on the field

@@cjr2131 That's not how that works. If the opponents have a single shot at the goal that already means that the defense failed. Whole team would get a lecture from the coach. By comparison, England had 52 total shots so that means defense failed 52 times where as the goal keeper only let in 20 of the 31 shots on target. Just look at the numbers. Goal keeper could have performed better but with the team not participating there's no chance. Watching the game, it seemed like Latvia's defense gave up after the 6th goal and didn't even bother to block easy shots.

Well done to the ladies out there. You can only beat what's in front of you and they went and did that emphatically. That being said, I do think FIFA needs to look at the way the qualifying is set up when you look at results in the recent batch of games; R.O.I. 11 - 0 Georgia, Belgium 19-0 Armenia, N.I 11-0 and 9-0 in their last two games. How are the smaller footballing nations ever supposed to find their level like that? It happens across the men's game too but it seems the disparity in the women's game is much greater.

Because women's football isn't a sport. Even at the "top" level, the quality is poor. 20-0 would be the average score if the US or any of the other "leading" countries would play a men's team.

Back in highschool our school decided to finally make a football team to compete among the schools in the area so we all had absolutely zero experience except for one kid who used to play football in grade school. We were immediately put up against the second best school in the city and I think the game ended with them winning 12-2.
