The beauty of this is not only that the song is beautiful. It is that these four people are in harmony. After a thousand hours of practice, it all comes together, and they are together in harmony.

THAT was the beautiful music of Faun. Already 8 years ago, and today they're playing pop-medieval... aaaah please come back to that sound !

Well, we just recorded a full Acoustic CD (LUNA Live & Acoustic in Berlin). Right know, we did rehearse this song Karuna, aswell as other great Acoustic songs for the coming LUNA TOUR. Maybe we never left that sound, but always had Acoustic songs, but also songs with electronic and other elements??? best wishes, FAUN
@EmelieWaldken10 жыл бұрын
Oliver Pade I'm very glad to hear that ! Especially because Karuna has always been one of my favourite Faun tunes. Actually I was not thinking about electronics, that have been part of the sound of Faun from the beginning (except the acoustic songs, I know, but I mean all the other ones) and that I really like. I'm talking about the way of arranging the tunes, that has turned into something more and more medieval-pop, which sounds much more "easy", common (the pulse of the electronics for example), very far away from the first deep, simple, beautiful, pure, rythmic and authentic sound of Faun that so many fans including me loved so much a few years ago. And it's that sound we are asking to come back, not only the old tunes but also the way of playing, performing them. Because we are sad of this evolution. Sincerely, E.Waldken

My heart stopped when I chanced upon this : it is the music I dance to .....the last performance a 4 year old boy came running up to me , calling my name , with his arms out, wanting to dance..so we did . Lost in each others eyes....we swayed , undulated holding hands ...never leaving our gaze from each other... I have not soul gazed with a young child before other than mine own...he left me with his Journey print on my heart....I believe I will recognize in 40 years the man he has become.

0 germans are europeans. I can asure you of this since i am german my self. The word harp comes from harpa which is an old germanic word. The roman historian tacitus discribed the harp as a germanic instrument. It has a big place in germanic mythologie as well. As the instrument of the elven it was considered as holy and only priests were alowed to play it. For the lyra i can say that in the greek mythologie there is one of the greek gods who is playing the lyra. And in the legend it is said that the god got the lyra as an offering from the northic (probably germanic) people. As for flutes. The oldest flute found by archeologists was found in northern germany the recorder was developed during the renaissance in europe.. drums had a big part in old germanic music too. one can say everything about this music is european. Or if you think of that as to general germanic.
