Fauquier, BC

Driving south along Lower Arrow Lake to catch the ferry at the historic community of Fauquier, BC. Another community forced to move when this section of the then Columbia River was flooded by the creation of the Keenleyside Dam near Castlegar in 1968.

I first went to Nakusp from the coast in 1963 , I lived there 5 different times . Witnessed the flooding and worked for BC Hydro prior to flooding. Love the area and have lots of friends and family who still live in around there.

There's a Fauquier on HWY 11(ONTARIO) east of Kapuskasing in northeastern Ontario....it's a mostly French village, though two of my British friends live there with their families, because of cheap housing.
