-Brown clay (I used Fimo Professional 'Chocolate')
-Red clay
-Foil
-Stamp
-Rolling pin
-Pasta machine
-Glass pebble
-Clay blade
-Xacto knife/utility blade
-Tool for border texture
-Black acrylic paint
-Wet wipes
-Tissue/kitchen roll
-A notebook
-Super glue (to attach your cover to the notebook)

The notebook was already black, I just left it as it was. Sometimes it's fun to make a back cover and spine decoration with clay but I didn't do that here! Thank you! :)

So creative! I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to keep surfaces smooth on, say, smaller projects. For instance, I'm working on making little bits for jewelry and I have a hard time keeping the surfaces smooth and the details intact. Any tips and tricks would be so helpful :)

Cin3ris Thank you! :D I'm not sure I understand, do you mean details or pieces so small it's easy to accidentally squash or mark them?

when you say keep the surface smooth - what do you mean? If you roll out some clay for, say, a base or backing to your piece and you want it to stay the same then I would suggest you bake that piece. Then roll out another piece/sheet of clay that you want to layer on top of it for texture or detail - then texture and detail it. You can either bake the texture/detail piece separately and then attach it to the smooth base with glue or you can take the textured/detailed piece and attach it directly to the baked piece with liquid clay and then rebake them both. It's always possible to bake clay in stages - just never bake it long enough to burn it.

If you drop it enough it will break, yes. But not as easily as regular clay. :) It's quite strong.
