so fun to hear all your favorites as always! definitely got some more books to add to my ever expanding TBR! i think my fav book that i read this year is probably The Testaments by Margaret Atwood - definitely one of the most perfect sequels I’ve ever read. And also, I loved Still Me (the last book in the Me Before You trilogy) - so good, it made cry on a plane (back when we could still travel). And special shout-out to Warcross - picked this up with Booksplosion and it was wonderful!!

I just finished Crashing Through a true story about Mike May. He was blinded at age 3 but his mother insisted he get the most normal life possible and therefore he keeps crashing everywhere. He has a normal life doing everything a sighted person does and more. He also has the most supportive wife and kids. I absolutely had a blast reading it and felt all the gels. Highly recommend.

Christine what’s ur opinion on booktook???
@huda94454 жыл бұрын
If it’s ok I will share my opinion 😂😂😂 ... I loved at the start when it was just people sharing what they love and stuff like that... but then it turned like any other platform .. the comments always had people either shaming someone for liking something and videos complaining about how many people like the same thing instead of just sharing something else ... their was good criticism of course , but the amount of negativity made me uncomfortable. I deleted TikTok in general not because of Booktok exactly but the negativity in everyone having fun comments. Edit: I stopped watching booktok way before deleting, so maybe it’s different now , just sharing experience, and I loved a lot of creators.

Christine i have the exact same books in my top 3 in the same order!!! i honestly could not stop talking about ninth house after (and while) i was reading it. Leigh Bardugo wove together the most interesting and magnificent puzzle i have ever read and it just unfolded in the best possible way. Crescent City had character i would literally die for after only knowing them for 5 pages and the most EPIC climax of any book i have ever read ( i mean it was over 200 pages!) and Chain of Gold might be in my top favourite cassie clare books. It was just so witty and fun and emotional. I loved the flashbacks to the characters childhoods and the fact that we know their parents made me connect to the characters on a whole other level. i need all the sequels NOW!

You can look into your local library or library from big cities around you to see if they offer a digital library card. Mine does this and anyone in Ohio can sign up. It gives you access to many things, including Overdrive and Hoopla where you can borrow books(I think like 20 a month?). They also have audiobooks. Magazines and other stuff too. All free. Most are sent to Kindle app to read it there. I haven't bought a book in a long time. Lol

Have you read "This is How you Lose the Time War"? That's my all-time favorite book (and I never like saying that, usually, but it's such a good book; it's an easy decision). It came out last summer, and that's been the audiobook I fall asleep to. As for summary, it's a wlw, enemies-to-lovers slow burn forbidden romance, where they time travel in a race against time (no pun intended) to win a war pitting a technological future against a biological future.
