This series did the whole ancient battering ram mecha aspect better than gundam ibo imo. Even down to how they traverse their surroundings. I do understand that ibo's mobile suits gliding around with their thrusters was done for ease of animating, but you can't deny the feeling of weight present in most of the golem's movements. It really sells the "walking suit of medieval armor" vibe.

But the Gundam’s in IBO weren’t meant to be ancient weapons of the past. And Break Blade had more time and budget (being released as films). These two are of the mecha genre but their styles are completely different

​@@Kokuoriwell I think IBO had lesser budget on animation cuz they put half of it into model kits. I often find recent Gundam series lacking in animation department compared to any other anime produced by big studios. They only went all out on movies.

This show had such potential. The worldbuilding and setting was really great. What a shame the manga author ran the story into the ground and ruined it.

I love this series but I didn't quite like it when I saw the queen who is OBVIOUSLY in love with the protagonist is still married to the King (who is also his friend but has to be married to her for political reasons). Regardless of the reasons, it STILL give off MASSIVE NTR vibes which I have STRONG DISTASTE with.

It isn't too big of a deal imo. They don't even wear their rings, it's not like hodr is forcing her to be with him out of affection anyway. I hate ntr too but this is pretty pedestrian if I'm being honest.

Rygart didn't go out with her at first due to be an un-sorcerer farmer, Hodr and Sigyn get divorced about halfway through the manga. They never slept together.
