OMG, your information is so valuable. Have you fished the small islands across from Packer channel park? Before it was dredged I would walk/swim across and slay the trout on live bait and popping corks or spoons. I cant believe you don't have more subs your content is amazing. Thanks.

Water is up. And shrimp are hatching, so they will be up shallow close to grass. So keep that in mind when your out there. Tight lines Hector

Thank you a x1000 times. We fish several of the CC docks, PC and Port A several times a year. We kayak fish up here in DFW areas but have been very hesitant to take it to the bay. Different ball game down there with the currents. You local info is backing up our research of those areas and gives us peace of mind when we go next year.

Been wading these parts a few times but I keep getting skunked minus trash fish. I've been using spoons, but like to carry paddle tails with me.. Should I change go in with a different strategy wading?

Because of the heat make sure and fish pre-dawn or evening. Use your spoons after sun has been up. I would start with your paddle tails maybe vary your retrieve. Slow it down or bump it off the bottom . Work the potholes and grass lines. And even the areas close to shore when you fish very early.

Honestly anywhere we fish your vehicle can get broken into. I personally have never had a problem or know anyone personally that had a problem. That being said only bring what your going fishing with don't leave valuables in your vehicle just like at a mall. All the places you here about were close to the road. Thieves need a quick way out. To answer your question. I believe so

No not at all. The first area that I call Deadmans hole is actually Highline hole now. It's deeper there. And if you want Kate's Hole I would suggest getting closer than wolf view park.

Both are easy to wade. Go early because of full moon and heat. Saw alot of drum at both Highline and Kate's so take some bait. Work the outer area around Highline as you wade to it. And the drop offs there is flounder still. If you never been to Kate's go to Highline.

I typically drift fish most of the time. But if I go on windy days I will anchor pole or there is a strong current. I really like calm days so I will drift most of the time. Thanks Adrian for watching tight lines.

Another quick question about this location for October fishing. Do you have a wind speed cutoff? Meaning, what type of wind speed or even direction would you recommend is not good for Kayak fishing this specific area. Since it appears the current is usually light, have you ever been caught in a strong wind that made hard to get back or navigate?

October is actually good weather. 10mph gust to 14.5 very nice. My cust off is sustained 15mph in a kayak here because it's open water. You can use a anchor and be ok for a while especially if you go early. Just watch the weather, especially if a front is coming that's when a big burst of wind comes. That's when you need to be off the water. Let me know when y'all go I will give you an idea as it gets closer.
