Congrats on a fabulous year!! A new office, the 1548 lip products, and a banner year for videos. You were the first YT channel that I started watching just last year, and it has been so exciting to watch you succeed. I am 54 and one of the best tips I received from you is the Essence eye shadow Snowflake used as a high lighter.Since I am older with pale skin, it is perfect for just a hint of shimmer. I have also been using an eye lash serum to help mine grow back, and I have had great success with it. (I ;lost a lot of my hair, eyelashes, eyebrows etc with my health issues). I don't believe I would have had the confidence to use this product if I had not been watching your videos. Thanks SO much, and I cannot wait to see what will happen to you in the new year!!

Me too! Struggle to love my pale skin but living in Asia (where pale skin is glorified and considered attractive) taught me that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and i better focus on using tons of sunscreen to protect my pale skin rather than ruin it with sunbathe to get a tan that's gonna be gone in a few weeks

I think the first few ingredients in the Dermacol foundation are paraffin and I'm guessing that's a wax. So that's probably why it breaks you out. There are waxes in most stick foundations too that's why they're not the best for acne prone skin. Thanks for the awesome video, I love hearing about people's favorite products.

Hey Taylor, before you replace your mic, ask around some music types about sound proofing a room - you may not need to replace it, but change other things in the space. There are a lot of blogs on this too. Heck, I have used egg crate on the walls and old blankets. A pop filter may help too. Lots of luck - congrats on the new space and happy new year!

I just tried the Fiona Stiles sheer sculpting palette and it is the most perfect contour for us pale girls! I am super happy with the Fiona Stiles illuminate foundation, you should deff check out her line it is amazing, but that contour palette is so so perfect!

Gad to hear I am not alone with the inability to bake with translucent powders! I dunno wtf the issue is, no matter what products I try or what I use to apply it, my bake always looks horrible. I have tried sooooo many times. Some of your 2016 fans are the same as those I reach for most often. 1548 is THE FIRST red I love! I have to line my lips when I wear it, luckily I found a liner close in shade in my collection. I have worn it by itself, with a topper, with a gloss, with duo chrome/metallic shadow on top... looks awesome every time! I need to order back ups!

My mom bought me the wet n wild highlight in precious petals. It was too dark and I was crushed but I mixed it with essence snow flake and its perfect! So if you have a highlighter that you love but it's too dark for me the essence snow flake eyeshadow really helps lighten it

I bought the white essence eye shadow for my inner corner based on your recommendation and it's so beautiful! I use it close to everyday. I also have been using the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara for a year or so & keep a back up on hand always! I have Tarte Shape Tape in Fair & Light Neutral & love them for daily use. Perfect for fair skin! Maybelline has some new nude lipsticks I saw today on a display w/ lip liners in CVS. Please try them and review them for us! I love the new office filming set up! I noticed a wee bit of an echo, but nothing major. I purchased the Cover Girl BB thingie after seeing your review on it and absolutely LOVE IT. I wear it every day. I also use the It Cosmetics powder foundation to set, but I switch between the illumination one and the regular one. The Better Than Sex mascara is also my go-to mascara. I'm so happy and excited for you with your liquid lipstick! Unfortunately, I don't think that is a color I can pull off.

Taylor, I've always had a huge issue with my under eye dark circles since 6th grade when a boy I liked pointed it out. I've been self conscious and worried that a man would never find me attractive because of it so I always wear makeup when I leave the house. my dark circles are hereditary so there's not a whole lot I can do about it. just this year, I started really feeling okay with the skin I'm in. I'm still not comfortable going a whole day out somewhere without makeup on, but I'll run to the store or drive thru without makeup, so baby steps right? seeing you on here with your acne and talking so naturally like its nothing and you aren't ashamed of it really makes me feel so comfortable with myself. it truly is inspiring and I feel as I am watching your videos like we're both sitting on the bed, no makeup on, and not even noticing or caring what we look like. it's a great feeling. I want to thank you because most youtubers I see or beauty gurus on here that have no skin imperfections that try to takes about hiding imperfections bothers me because I feel like they haven't gone through the same things. Jaci D Clinique in a tube its like cover and conceal or something but works pretty much the same and I don't break out if your super pale add a lil mixing but a lil goes a long way with it it's like 20$

Jaci D I have the same problem with highlight and I've bought a TON of them. The best so far they doesn't highlight my texture/acne is Wet n Wild megaglo Illuminating Palette Eclairage. It isn't as "Whoa" as far as highlighters go, but it still has a pretty sheen. It also has 4 colors so I use the rosy one as a blush.

Have you tried the Hourglass bronzer in the Surreal Light palette? I'm not sure if it's lighter than the one you use, but it's pretty light. I'm not as fair as you and it is super subtle on me. It might be nice on your light skin.

I got the dermacol in 208 and it is really pigmented. Unfortunately it's too dark on it's own but I mix it with the stargazer foundation in white and it works pretty well. I have dry 44 year old eczema prone skin so I use a primer underneath. I only use a high coverage foundation on occasions, but my day to day go to is maybelline instant age rewind in brightener undereye and around my nose, followed with the Laura Geller balance n brighten in porcelain (the lightest powder foundation I have ever tried which actually matches even my chest). This combo is ideal for the fairly light coverage I need on a day to day basis. I'm using the ordinary high adherance primer just now which I really like and @ £3.90 it's really affordable. I don't know how it would work on oily skin but it works well on my dry skin, although I need to use quite a lot - good job it's affordable. I use it up under my eyes with no irritation (even on my highly sensitive skin) and it smooths the lines a little. As one of the few youtubers with pale skin I appreciate the foundation swatches you do on your arm so I can get a good idea of the shades. Many thanks and a happy new year.

I bought the dermacol foundation based on your review and I like it but it makes me so greasy! I have oily skin and the only way I can use it is mixing it with the cover girl bb cream matte foundation and I love how my skin looks with these two foundations 😊

Jessica Bustos I mix the covergirl bb cream with a lot of foundations and it makes all of them look so much better. Funny how I don't care for the bb cream by itself though. I'll have to try it with the Dermacol!

I ordered the dermacol after watching one of your videos. I really like it! I mix it with lots of stuff too. Also like the shape tape. I bought one of the new colors which works best for me. Will have to try the Tarte foundation.

I am such a fan!! I'm so glad I stumbled across you while looking for a pale foundation. I have watched every video since. I purchased 1548 as soon as it went up and it is beautiful! I would love to see more videos on styling clothes with makeup looks. I feel like I can do a great makeup look or a great outfit, but get lost trying to fit them together. Keep up all the hard work you are putting in. Even small town girls from Alabama get inspired!

I just recently tried Tarte Shape Tape and I absolutely love it. I wish I could try the Dermacol foundation but everytime I go to buy it, the lightest shade is sold out 😂 My go to foundation for most of 2016 was Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless mixed with the Cover Girl Matte BB cream, but for the last few months I've been using Clean Finish by Rimmel London and it is to die for. I love it! I usually put Maybelline Fit Me powder in the lightest shade on top.

Tarte hit the motherl-oad when they created the Shape Tape concealer. It seems to work on every type of skin type! Thank you for another year of fabulous recommendations! My favorite makeup products of 2016 would have to include the It Cosmetics Illuminating CC cream, the Hard Candy Hydrating Primer Spray, the duo-chrome highlighter trend and finally learning how to put on falsies without glueing my eye shut :)
