The Raven Cycle is my favorite urban fantasy series, I am actually rereading it for the 4th time right now!

The raven cycle felt like the the first two parts were written by the author herself and the next two were written by her greatest enemy. First two books were awesome but the ending was horrible. Half of the things didn't make sense. Like why did blue amplified psychic powers, what happened to Noah, why he attacked blue and many more.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians was the series that got me started on reading when I was a kid and I still have the 1st copy I ever owned of Lightning Thief too!! I wasn't excited about reading as a kid but that was the series that really started my love for it.

I love watching videos like this because I just love watching people get excited and talk passionately about books its honestly so lovely to watch! As for my favorite series...well if you spend 5 seconds on my channel you'd know its the Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb. I can't even begin to explain what that series means to me, but its currently at the very top of my list. I also love The Lord of the Rings because of all the nostalgia. As well as the Magic Treehouse series and of course Harry Potter. Those are probably the ones that had the biggest impact on me but there are definitely others I can think of that are special too.

I've never heard of VE Schwab, but they way you described them have landed them firmly on my to-read list :) I'm a big fan of Trudy Canavan who also uses deep complex systems-of-magic to give her world depth. I'd highly recommend the Millennium's Rule series :)

So glad to see Lila Bard is getting the love she deserves because I saw a lot of readers complain that her impulsiveness is annoying and whatnot and that Kell is too good for her (like what? how many times did she save his ass? and yeah, he saved her neck a few times too, which only proves what a power couple they are), but to me she is the ultimate definition of queen, pure steel, and hard as nails.

I love everything Rick Riordan has ever written. And yes Delilah Bard is one of my all time favorite ever. For Cassandra Clare I definitely love the infernal devices, Jem & Tessa, my favorite couple ever!

@@Yee-xp8bf I can't stress how much it is worth it! (At least to me 😂) definitely start with the moral instruments. I know some people recommend reading them in order of publication but this would mean switching between trilogies at some point which could be a little disruptive? I would say the best way is to start with the first trilogy in the mortal instruments series, then read the infernal devices, then the second trilogy of the mortal instruments, then the tales of shadowhunter academy, then the dark artifices trilogy. There are other books in the Shadowhunter chronicles like the codex and bane chronicles but i think you can read them whenever. I hope that way helpful and you enjoy the series if you do decide to read it! 😁

@@Yee-xp8bf I honestly couldn't pick a favourite! I've also heard people mention that the series gets flack but I've never encountered anyone explaining what about it people don't like. I'll have to look into it. I have had friends who didn't enjoy city of bones and so didn't continue with the series but I once read that 3 times in a row so I completely disagree 😂 i would recommend reading to the first 2/3 books just to get a feel for it and see if you like it 😊

I’m a big fan of Rick Riordan but the one series I never read is the Percy Jackson series! I gotta definitely read it in the future. & I’ll BE THAT PERSON, to say VE Schwab doesn’t interest me. I’m extremely picky and I know my reading tastes really well (does that sound weird?! I hope not 😳) But hearing what this about from soooo many other book tubers and I’m pretty convinced I won’t like it 🙄🙄 This was a really great video I loved hearing why you enjoy all these series!!

I read Illuminae and had the series complete and this is just my opinion I hate Illuminae. Since I don’t like Star Trek and Star Wars I guess that’s why I didn’t like it at all it has a kind of vibe to it so I just sold the series. I’m more like X-men and super hero stuff person.
