I’m so glad my tree guy ALWAYS checks trees and limbs for nests first, be they raccoons, squirrels or opossums with babies or birds hatching eggs-wildlife that is unable to flee when the ruckus starts. He completes other work and comes back in a week or so to check that it’s clear to resume work on that limb or tree.

Aww this reminds me of the baby raccoon my sister "adopted" He was found on the side of the road near the mother that had been killed by a car. She took him home, raised him and allowed him to roam as he became an adult. He eventually left during the winter and returned the next spring. He visits her every so often in the summer now and always recognizes his Momma. No one else can get near him but he remembers her and trusts her ❤

@alphaafton6494 He was always fighting the natural wild/tamed environment, so after he started maturing, we let him go. He was ready. With so many coyotes in the area, he would've never made it as a baby. We never tamed him and only supplemented his diet. He also never came back to say hi, but we saw him a few times in a big cherry tree at the edge of the woods, it looked like he was watching the farm. He never tried to come in and get our chickens either, which was something we were worried about.

His name was Meeko and his tree burn down in a fire because it was too close to a house that was burning down right next to our house so in the middle of the night, he ended up running up to our back door, and he scratched on it. My dad was able to catch him, and so we took them in he's currently living in our backyard, after he set himself free.
