This is Meshuggah's best song in my opinion. It's just perfect. And the live version is just outstanding. Maybe checkout Clockworks next.

meshuggah changes lives dude. there is a point where it's like "yea they're fine", then all of a sudden it just clicks and you realize the genius. I think you just had that moment jam the album Nothing. it is their masterpiece

and check the lyrics if you have the time because they are nothing less than poetic and very good at describing emotion

Jens' voice is pretty "monotonous" for most meshuggah songs. But i think it fits, because most people think meshuggah's has a machine-like mechanical nature. And i think being "monotonous" jives well with that. If you want more "ranged vocals" then you should probably check out their earlier stuff. For a song recommendation though, i recommend future breed machine from their 1995 album. This song pretty much started the djent movement lol

You can pick anything, also, there is no wrong answer as long as it's MORE! Meshuggah fans will follow you the end, we love our rabbit hole.

Dude, the "clean" vocals you were talking about were the drummer and that happens on like one song per album. The "monotonous" ones you don't like are the usual vocals lol.

All spoken vocals are by the drummer Tomas Haake. I mean in every song with spoken words.

Next one that ill recommend to you focuses more on the drums and the absolute raw and undeniable energy that they bring on stage. Meshugga pravus live verrsion from Tokyo, dont listen to the studio version its not as good in my opinion
