Vajpayee Achievement 1. Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojana - Largest Rural connectivity program since independence 2. National Highway Development Project (NHDP) - Golden Quadrilateral.. largest physical connectivity program since independence 3. Reforms in Telecom and IT - Today India is IT superpower 4. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan - Best program in my opinion. Just compare literacy rate in india before and after 10 yrs of this program. 5. Pokhran 6. Elections in J&K People of india did a biggest mistake for not electing him in 2004.

He was one of the few leaders who gave respect to everyone and the same respect was given back to him. He was a true soul and the most kind hearted leader I have seen. He had such a cute smile. Nehru, Bajpai were personalities that were keen to please those around them & the interests of the country came much later. Modi has shown that the country comes first and individuals around you don't matter. This is what irks the Lutyens guys including Shekhar Gupta that their egos are not polished by Modi like Nehru, Bajpai & others. Lutyens crowd is so self centred that they can't see beyond their bloated egos.
