Between you and Caroline Hirons, you both have completely changed my skin. I do not usually wear foundation anymore (stay at home mom life) and I get asked quite frequently by strangers and family/friends what I use on my skin because it is glowing and so pretty. A few years ago I was caking my skin with foundation. Today I am confident with my au naturale skin. Thank you:)

I am SO honored and so happy that my suggestions worked for you. i know that not everyone's skin reacts the same way, but even if i help one person discover a product they love, I'm happy.

I may have mentioned this to you before. I'm not affiliated but have used French Cosmetics for Less for years to order French pharmacy products. They carry Matricium. I'm in the US, but they are based in DC so they may ship to Canada. They aren't cheap but all their stuff comes fresh, direct from France. They don't maintain an inventory.
@ttsandra5 жыл бұрын
yes you have! and i have friends that order from them - it's a great option to have. it's just cheaper for me to get it from my travels or via friends/family :)

I’m definitely bringing Matricium, Q-flav, JS hydrate serum and BR into 2020! I just wish the larger size of hydrate serum had the same consistency as the 1oz bottle. I love that thicker, tackier finish!

I love watching your videos ! We have exactly the same skincare type and preferences, over the years I've added few of your favourites to my routine. My discoveries in 2019 were : Josh Rosebrook hydration boost concentrate ( I already love the hydrating accelerator), Egyptian magic for the winter months (yes! on my oily/combo type ) and hands down the best discovery was Mother Dirt AO Mist, live bacteria in a jar that plums your face and helps you with breakouts. Oh my God, I love skincare...

i love skincare too!! glad you shared some of your favourites, because I am writing them down to check out - they sound great. thanks so much for watching :)

You make me really want to try out Jordan Samuel stuff! Sorry if you mentioned it already, do you get charged duties when you order from him?
@ttsandra5 жыл бұрын
i live in the US now so i order it to my US address - but no you won't get charged duties when you get it shipped to Canada, you just have to pay a higher shipping cost.

Love your yearly wrap-up videos! Curious about whether or not you are still using differin, or another retinoid? As far as my yearly fave, I think it has to be the Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Cleanser. I love the texture, slip, efficacy and company. If you haven’t tried it yet, I’m pretty confident you’d love it if you did! x
@ttsandra5 жыл бұрын
I am still using Differin or Epiduo Forte every night - I do Differin on most nights and Epiduo Forte if i have active breakouts I want to kill quickly. adapalene as an active ingredient has been a game changer for me in terms of managing acne and maintaining my skin. fingers crossed it continues :) I've been meaning to try that Krave Beauty cleanser (along with their Beet Shield) so they're definitely on my radar!

loved that physical fusion for the summer too but it's been sticking to every dry patch now that it's winter. what would you say is a good physical sunscreen that's not drying (but also not greasy)...? also l love that sweater!
@ttsandra5 жыл бұрын
I've had good luck with Indeed Labs InDefense 30 and Sundaze Skincare C-Shells SPF 30 in the winter! I think you can only get the Sundaze brand shipped in the US as they're a small indie brand, but it's a really nice mineral sunscreen. Paula's Choice Super Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 also gets great reviews but that one I haven't personally tried yet - it's on my neverending list to try haha

You always have such amazing recommendations but my wallet will cry usually LOL Have you tried the pai face oil? I recently got it from cult beauty and I love how it makes my skin feel. I also love Sunday Riley luna but now I have to get it from cult beauty as well as you can't get in Canada anymore :(

Beautiful jumper and necklace. Were they christmas gifts? Would love to know where they were from. Do you still use Differin? I am sure you must have updated before, I was expecting it to be in the 2018 section. I have been using Duac all over my face this year and it has helped with my conjested skin so much I can't even beleive it. Got it from my GP and the consistency and efficacy is much greater than other benzol peroxides I used when I was a teenager 15 years ago. So I am very pleased to have some what clear skin at last! x

Thanks! sweater is about 3 years old by a brand called Brochu Walker. necklace is from Mejuri. I still use Differin! started using it in 2017 so that’s why it wasn’t in my 2018 video 😊 I’m glad you found something that works for you too! it’s a nice feeling to finally get in the groove of a routine that works well for your skin

Hi Sandra, la Roche posey has the sunscreen on their canada website. Is this the same spray do you think?
@ttsandra5 жыл бұрын
it's not :( different ingredients. the one i mention is only for the face, comes in 75g container and has that extra green writing on the bottle that says Anti Shine. I did try the Canada version though and while I didn't like it on my face, I loved using it on the body.

Ahh darn, I’m really trying to find a good sunscreen spray as well. I’ve tried the kate Somerville one and I don’t know if I’m a fan. It’s ok, but I’m trying to find something better. I just don’t love it

This video was amazing Sandra! I'm so intrigued to try Jordan Samuel Skincare but I'm waiting for the products to come over to the EU. Hopefully 2020 will be the year:) My absolute favorite discovery this past year was the Ren Bio Retinoid Cream. It is the only product that has truly changed the texture of my skin. It helps so much with breakouts too. I love it but never hear people talk about it! xx

I've been slowly but surely consciously uncoupling from Sephora and opting for Pharmaprix (Shoppers), this year I loved Vichy Mineral 89, LRP Toleriane Ultra 8 Mist & Pai Camellia and Rose cleanser. I ordered the JSS cleanser bundle in early December, still waiting.
@ttsandra5 жыл бұрын
I hope you get your bundle soon and get to try it! the Sephora rewards system sucks, I haven't been VIB Rouge in a couple of years and can't say I miss it lol

Do you happen to know if Jordan Samuel Skin ever has sales? Been wanting to try but was waiting for a sale to try to offset those Canadian shipping costs!
@ttsandra5 жыл бұрын
he does! usually in October near his brand anniversary. one year he did 20% off, one year he had the hydrate serum on sale for a really good price, and then he usually has discount sale bundles during the holiday season :)
@catnip45875 жыл бұрын
He recently offered holiday sets at a discount. I suggest going to his website and getting on mailing list or follow him on instagram

Hey Sandra. Why do I need Invisalign redone? Well I guess my dentist changed his mind cause now I’m not. My teeth keep moving back to where the were so I’m having 2 clips put in the back of my bottom teeth. A wire will be installed to them in order to stop that. This will be permanent. I guess it’s common for some to have this issue. But no one tells you this before you hand over the $6000 🙄. Anyway, I discovered Evey SPF 50 thru Gothamista. Had to order 4 cans (mousse) to get it from Sweden but totally worth it as my lifestyle requires more coverage than the skinceuticals or other mineral spfs I love. Evey is new technology that absorbs into the dermis but not the blood stream (safe for babies and pregnant women). It protects 6 hours even if you wash it off. And it can be applied over make up. Because it is air tight it takes longer (years) to lose its spf properties. Only con is that it is sticky for first 15 minutes after applying. Otherwise was worth the shipping hassle (aerosols are now considered hazardous shipping material).
@ttsandra5 жыл бұрын
ahh I hope the wire won't be too uncomfortable and your teeth will be in tip top shape again! i will most likely have to wear a retainer at night (or opt for a more permanent solution like yours) as our teeth will always have the tendency to crowd to the front as we age. just another fun thing to look forward to lol thanks for the sunscreen suggestion! i am SO behind on Gothamista videos but always love her input and her thorough coverage. that product sounds super interesting :)
