My favorite genre! My all time favorites, and the books I can’t stop recommending to people, are All the Light We Cannot See, Girl in the Blue Coat, and The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. Currently reading Codename Verity, can’t wait to finish it!

Ah my absolute favourite genre! Some of my favourite WW2 Historical fiction are : the book Thief, salt to the sea (but especially between shades of grey!) The nightingale by Kristin Hannah, all the lights we cannot see, codename Verity and I have some Dutch favorites but no idea if they're translated or not

All great suggestions! I want to read between shades of grey so bad! The Nightingale definitely should have been on this list 🙈 it was one shelf down and I missed putting it in the stack lol. It had a couple things that I didn't love, but still a very solid story ☺️💕

I am starting Salt to the Sea today! It's been on my TBR forever and I cannot wait. There is snow on the ground where I am, and for some reason, winter always puts me in a historical fiction mood! All the Light We Cannot See is fantastic! It's one of those books I tend to think about still and I read it like 4 months ago now. It's amazing.

I hope you love it! It's been snowing here ALLLLLL DAY. And it's windy 🥶. I definitely feel like winter makes me crave historical fiction as well 💕. And all the light- yes, so great! I read it over a year ago now and the story just stays with me. I'm so thankful I tend to rememberbooks really well because I feel like they really stick with me. Like if I forget a book, it's a reallllllly forgettable book 😂🙈

Look into Dragonfly by Leila Meachum. I picked it up randomly one day from the bookstore and its turned into one of my favorites of the year. It’s a very different take on WWII Nazi-occupied Paris than I’ve ever read before. Great job on the video!

Loses roses has no spoilers to lilac girls, I like lilac girls a lot better. Lost roses was good but lilac girls was AMAZING. The lost girls of Paris so very good as well. Kristin Harlem is SOOO amazing. The room on rue Amelia and the winemakers wife are both my favorites !!

The Secret Life of Violet Grant is my favorite historical fiction! There is a definite romance in it but I liked it even though I also don’t like romance! Anything by Beatriz Williams is really good. A lot of people didn’t like The Alice Network but i enjoyed that one too!

I just finished Lovely War byJulie Berry. Honestly so good! But it does have romance in it. It’s set in the days of WWI and WWII and the best part is that Aphrodite is telling the story of these people. Loved it! Check it out ☺️
