The game itself is a MOBA (Multi-player Online Battle Arena). The people appearing in the video are playable characters (aka champions). This one was made to announce a full album from the band and further promote a line of cosmetic skins based on their appearance here as a pop music group. Ok so basically explaining the members here bc I heard the question about the tails and league lore is confusing. So the rapper’s name is Akali, she’s a dragon ninja in LoL, and in K/DA is represented with dragon metaphors and imagery. Evelyn is the main chorus singer, she’s a demon in LoL which is represented by her snake like tails and claws. Ahri is the blonde with a kitsune tail, in the game she’s the Nine Tail Fox and is represented with her tail and cat ears. Kai-sa is the girl from the second verse with the 2 crystals on her back, she was a warrior sent to kill a void creature, and ended up becoming it, which is represented by her entire part in the song. Then theres finally Seraphine, a girl with anxiety issues who’s dream was to join a music group like K/DA. Her story is the only one actually connecting between LoL and K/DA effectively. think of it this way, its like Gorillaz except its video game characters with alternate outfits to fit the theme of k-pop. idk if you know much about video games, but alot of em have a cosmetic feature where you can select the way an established character looks even to the point where you basically override their entire appearance. we commonly refer to these visual overrides as "skins" and they very often maintain certain characteristics of the original character. for example, the character Evelynn is a sort of succubus-type in her original form, with big claws and two tail-like extensions coming out of her back ending in sharp points. the artists of the game made a skin for her that is k-pop inspired, yet retains those critical attributes in a different form. also the name of the fictional band, "K/DA", is an acronym for "Kills, Deaths, and Assists," its part of how competitive videogames track your progress in a match.

The girl with teal hair wasn’t the 5th member. She was just collaborating. Btw, her name is Seraphine, and her vocalist was a Chinese artist name Lexie Liu This song was partially to introduce Seraphine to fans because she was the newest character in the game, at the time.
