When senna was a child and lived in a village on an island she came in contact with the mist, the queen entered her spine and from that point, she had always been within senna. Protecting her from the mist and its dangers. That's how senna could escape and survive the lantern. The queen inside her is obviously Viegos wife and there is some lore about that too. Viego wasn't always corrupted like he is now. Once he was a king of a long-forgotten kingdom. Viegos queen got sick and Viego wanted Kalista and Hecarim to find a cure (they were also not transformed like they are in the game). Kalista found out about a knowledgeable place called the blessed isles. She went there to the capital called Helia. The people there said that they could cure her. When Kalista returned to the king the queen was already dead and the cure wouldn't work. Viego got upset and brought a whole army to the blessed isles. He went to the place where they would cure the queen but it didn't work exactly as he wanted. So he killed himself and cast a spell so the queen and Viego would always be bound together for all eternity. When he did this he also unleashed a great force which was the black mist. Killing everyone and turning them.

Basiclly to explain, today was the start of the new season of League of Legends; "Season 11"; with bunch of new stuff coming this year. This cinematic was about a new champion called "Veigo, The Ruined King" Senna and Lucian (The couple in the beginning) are protectors that fend of the evil shadows in Runeterra(the world of league). Unfortunately, the evil mist followed them which then revealed the ruler of the ruin, "Veigo"( Green Guy with sword). That blue stuff in senna's heart was 'supposedly' the essences of Veigo's dead wife, but since he sort of has control over the dead he wants to bring her back. Tbh, I don't know wtf he was doing when he touched the blue stuff, but I guess it spread the shadows all around the world into regions such as: Noxus - With Darius(Axe Dude) and Samira (The girl with the sword and gun) Demacia - with Poppy(Blue creature with huge blonde pigtails) and Vayne( The girl with the crossbow) And Ionia - With Karma (The girl single handedly fought all those shadows by herself.) Fun Fact: This version of Senna is her base skin and this is also the character that was voiced by Keke Palmer in the GIANTS M/V. (The girls with the big gun and had the shadow power..)

Viego, "the ruined king" as he's better known was the king of a (former) country known as the blessed isles and was married to his queen. When she died (I'm not exactly sure how or why), he tried to bring her back to life, with all kinds of necromancy stuff. It didn't go well, all he ended up doing was make her an undead. He went even more crazy and all the necromancy corrupted the blessed isles in to being the shadow isles as they are known today. Also, somehow the real soul(?) of the queen has somehow ended up in or with Senna. There are a few video's in between that go over the start of Lucian's story and how he got his wife (Senna) back.

Viego was not the king of the blessed isles he went there to try and save his wife, who was poisoned in an attemp to kill him, but when Kalista(the one he sent to seek a way to save her) returned from the isles, she was already dead. But he tried anyway, she became a roting corpese begging for dead, he went crazy and cursed the isles causing the ruination.... and Thresh was there too.

Viego - also called The Ruined King wanted to bring back her dead wife Isolde. After bringing her corpses to life but that corpses where whole in maggots and other worms he realised that it'd better be to his wife when he kill her living corpses and himself but the power stored in The Isles amplified the spell and created the black mist and set people in a state between life and death. When Senna was a child Queen's soul was guarding her from a black mist and some time before Senna became a safe place for Isolde but it didn't last too long. Viego has an obsession with the Queen he really loves her but it drives him mad and he wants to make a revange for his fate and destroy Runeterra. You have to remember that K/DA, Elementalist Lux, and some others are not canon to official League of Legends lore they are just a skins to a game and for example Akali in K/DA world is 17 years old rapper but in official lore she's a ninja.

So senna and Lucian are lovers and in this cinematic u see the ruined king also know as viego (the person in the mist) want her queen back. So the queen is dead and is a soul that has been inside of senna ever since she was a little girl. She is the voice you hear at the beginning of the cinematic. And viego basically sucks her soul out of sennas body and claims her. And we don’t know why those other champions got attacked but that’s just some info of why the ruined king was their. Btw the ruined king is a new character of league coming out this is his teaser. His character is very important to the lore cause he want everyone dead essentially

Some cinematics are not related to "normal" lore, they are related to "other" worlds or universes such as star guardians - which i think is also relating to dark star and celestial skin lines im not 100 % certain - space odyssey, spirit blossom, blood moon, projects,etc. Some of them are in similar universe's, going onto league's web page all the lore for each universe is there.

Ok so here is the thing; Senna was trapped in a lantern full of souls that belonged to a bad guy, Lucian destroyed the lantern freeing her, and other souls, including Viego´s Wife(The guy from this cinematic) and now her spirit doesnt want to go with him but dude is crazy, we will get her as a champion later this year as well :D. The lore for this is HUGE but if you wanna understand the basic idea then I'll try to explain. So the ruined King (evil dude with white hair) brought the corpse of his wife to a city in order to revive her.... he makes her a zombie or whatever and he killes her and himself. Senna (the woman with the green eyes) has the soul of his wife and he wants the soul back. The blue orb that he took from the couple is soul of the ruined kings wife. Side note: she didn't want her soul cuz she was not interested in fixing other peoples business but she couldn't just tell the soul to f off so yeah. There is way more to this but honestly idk where to start soo ill leave it at that. Hope it helped 😅

Elementalist Lux is just a skin for Lux. The default base skins are what the characters ACTUALLY look like in the original canon league of legends lore. Skins are just to give them a different look, they’re just cosmetics. But some skin lines do have their own story as well but it’s separate from the OG league story. Like how kda ahri is completely different from star guardian ahri and star guardian ahri is different from original ahri. Hope this makes a little sense 😭 if u see it in game youd understand

so. what we got here is a man known as Viego, the Ruined king. his wife died. he tried to bring her back long ago. and defiled a sacred place to do it. with her undead corpse after another failed attempt. his obsession with saving her. has made his wife. no longer love him. and in fact the one time he did manage to bring her back. which coincidently created that black mist (which come from the shadow isle) she tried to kill him. not that he remembers anymore. he is very much a mad king who only remembers what he was last doing. his wife. Isolde. her soul is split up into fragments. and he is trying to search the entire continent for all the pieces. one of which. was inside Senna. the man next to her. is Lucian. her husband. who was trained partly by senna. he has spent the past few years trying to get her soul out of thresh's lantern. who lives in the shadow isle's i believe. and so he's a bit hesitant about her walking back into the mist at the beginning. cuz man just got his girl back from that shit.
