Kirby bosses can be sick, especially the final bosses. The cool thing with the final bosses is that they usually have a new mechanic to make the fight more interesting, *_ESPECIALLY_* the Modern games. -Star Dream is the best boss in the series and you can't convince me otherwise.-

The fact that Kirby games all have bosses that are consistently awesome surprises me on so many levels. The betrayal of Magalor, the depressing backstory of Queen Sectonia (I probably would have put that fight on here), and the epicness of Masked Dedede. There all highlights on a series that's, in my opinion, home to one of the best boss selections in gaming.

Yeah, in the OS version of Star Dream you almost have to fire a few stars at the doodads that he summons in order to have enough debris to kill him before the FATAL ERROR! happens. If not you take a lot of damage and you may be weak after nearly 3 phases of bullet hell and Barrel Roll dodges.

Man, I love these videos, always fun to come back to them. A few things worth noting after this time, though: 1: Magolor's relationship to Kirby wasn't retconned in Star Allies. In Kirby's Dream Collection, the story of the game reveals that after Magolor was freed of the Master Crown and returned from Another Dimension, he was deeply thankful to Kirby and had a genuine desire to become his friend, going so far as to build Kirby an entire amusement park solely to make up for his past deeds. He'll even engage Kirby in a few friendly races similar to the famous gourmet races from super star. And while Magolor does cheat a little there (using magic to summon some enemies or a couple of very weak attacks, which are very scaled-down versions of his flashy boss moves) his animations always include him giving a friendly wink or giggling, showing he's doing it to prank or tease Kirby and it's all in good fun. Magolor's survival was also shown in RtDL itself; his animation after his possessed form is beaten shows his true self being cleansed of darkness before ascending into Another Dimension. It's also been confirmed this was originally supposed to only be shown if you got every orb for the Lor Starcutter, but they decided they didn't want Magolor's absolution to be exclusive to 100%ing the game. From then on he's been a friend of Kirby's, such as those gem apple stands in the Team Clash games. He's still got an ego, but at his heart Magolor's a friend through and through. 2: This video was made after Void Soul came out but before Void itself came out; while I doubt the opinions shown in the video would change, it would be interesting to wonder what the thoughts on Void would have been, as Void is a drastically different fight from Void Termina and Void Soul and harnesses Zero, Dark Mind and Drawcia Soul. 3: Now that Kirby and the Forgotten Land has been out for a while I'd also love to see what he thinks of the bosses in that game compared to the rest of the series. While I don't think I'd put it's true final boss over some of the others (no spoilers since some people probably have yet to beat it), it's an absolutely exhilarating battle and is easily among the best boss fights in all of Kirby. It also has easily the best Meta Knight battle as well, complete with easter eggs and a surprise difficult spike (the harder version of Meta Knight is genuinely more difficult than the intended super-knight boss!). Always happy to come back to these, though. At the end of the day, I'm grateful you and your wonderfully unique content is still around.
