9:35 : About Demiurge having higher priority than helping Cocytus, he doesn't really. If you notice, Entoma is burning up a talisman at that moment. Likely to contact Demiurge and tell him to stop giving Cocytus all the answers since Ainz has devised that situation for him to think for himself. The elder lich Iguva is very likely the mithril ranked adventurer who tried to accompany Momon to subdue the vampire Honyopenyoko, Iguvarge. He has basically the same name, Ainz mentioned they would use the bodies of adventurers in experiments to raise higher level undead and he has a scar on his forehead consistent with Mare's strike that killed him. About the scrolls made from 'sheepskin', if it wasn't obvious, Ainz got the wrong impression about those. They're not made from chimeras, but from a sentient species. Very likely the bafolk who are beastmen who look like bipedal goats (much like the lizardmen are bipedal lizards, they are just as intelligent and tribalistic). Some people think the 'Abellion sheep' would be humans, but that's unlikely since humans don't live in the Abellion hills. It doesn't take away from the horrors of Demiurge's camps, and he certainly would be experimenting on humans as well. 25:43 : By the way, Shalltear didn't dismiss the monsters they used as herald. When she clapped, she did an aoe attack that destroyed them after their mission was complete. A bit more of a flex.

Episode 017 As always, I will try to clarify some things about what happens, based on information from the light novel. In this chapter we are introduced to Victim, one of the 2 guardians that we still did not know.Victim is the weakest guardian of all physically speaking, however, upon death he unleashes an unknown power that once stopped an invasion of 1,500 players when Ygdrassil was a game. Surely this happened in conjunction with other forces, but so far, the eighth floor that Victim defends is considered the most powerful barrier in the Great Tomb of Nazarick. In Nazarick there are two types of NPCs, custom ones and "automatic" ones. The former need money from Ygdrassill to revive upon death, while the automatic ones simply respawn after a while and are naturally much weaker than the custom ones. Ainz reveals to us that, except for the lich he created, all the dead that Cocytus received as his army were actually these automatic NPCs, so losing them does not represent a real loss, because from the beginning they were cannon fodder. Now let's talk a little about Demiurge. His creator, Ulbert, was a player who loved to play the Villain Role. Of course, wasn’t serious and he was only doing it because they were in a Video Game and no one would really get hurt in the real world. He simply enjoyed the more "romantic" aspects of villainy. In that sense he designed Demiurge to be a kind of "evil mastermind" in his role as NPC. But the problem is that he has now become a real being. Demiurge is a being with karma (-500), which means “Extremely Evil”. While characters like Aura or Mare (-100) see living beings outside of Nazarick as unimportant entities, almost stones in the road, Demiurge enjoys the suffering of others (when it is not the inhabitants of Nazarick). And although he is absolutely loyal to Ainz, Demiurge will always try to do as much damage as possible to the people outside, without going outside of his mission parameters. So, when he talks about "Two-Legged Sheep" he is not really referring to an animal, but to humans that he has captured in the Roble Holy Kingdom and keeps them in his workshop on the Abelion Hills. Demiurge is assigned the mission of finding a way to produce magical scrolls and for that he is skinning people to obtain the necessary material. The scrolls that Cocytus and Entoma used in the previous chapter were made from this human skin. Naturally, since Demiurge thinks of Ainz as if he were a true god, he assumes that Aijnz already knows everything he is doing. That's why he makes a joke of calling those poor people "Abelion Sheep" and assumes that Ainz understands... But Ainz doesn't know anything! He actually believes that Demiurge has captured a rare breed of bipedal sheep. Something similar happens during his conversation with Cocytus. He tells to Ainz about "the courage of warriors" that he found among the lizardmen. But Ainz has no idea what he's talking about, because in his world he was just a simple office worker and doesn't understand things like warrior honor. However, all the NPCs believe that Ainz's every gesture is part of a greater grand conspiracy and they rationalize everything he does or says so that it seems like part of their plan for world domination. Now, it must be made clear that Ainz really planned for Cocytus to learn from this fight with the lizardmen... but everything else was purely coincidental. I also want to clarify something that many viewers missed: When Ainz decides not to "rule the lizardmen by fear", he is referring to what will happen AFTER he conquers them. But first they have to make them submit to their authority and the best way to do that is by making a display of power. The stone giant who throws a huge boulder into the center of the lake is the last floor guardian of Nazarick, Gargantua. Unlike the other Guardians, he is not a custom NPC but a Golem that the Ainz Own Goal guild earned during an event and needs to be turned on for it to work. But despite this they have him taking care of the lake on the 4th floor. The spell that Ainz uses to freeze the lake is Super Tier Magic Creation, which modifies the terrain itself. The real reason Ainz used it was to test his range and also to confirm that there were no players hiding around, because in the game everyone always attacked the one trying to cast super tier magic first. I take this opportunity to clarify that the luminous invocation circle for Super Tier Magic is the same regardless of the spell that is going to be used, because it is not something exclusive to Ainz, but in theory any player who exceeds level 71 can use it, although some of those demand that the player sacrifice some of their levels. (something Ainz doesn't want to do at all, because he doesn't know how to get them back in the new world, so he's very selective with them). Super Tier Magic always takes a long time to cast and the player can't defend themselves, so their party should protect them at that time because any enemy attack will interrupt the cast. Hence, it serves as bait for Ainz to attract a potential player to attack him. Well that's all my friend. I love how Grey this world is getting! ^^

Victim is the lowest level of the floor guardians. He's only lvl 35 while all the other floor guardians are lvl 100. This is because Victim's sole purpose is to die. If, somehow, enemies make it to the 8th floor, Victim will be sacrificed and, iirc, the spell that goes off is a massive AoE de-buff + trap. The reason Victim is only lvl 35 is because, the cost to revive a guild npc scales with their level. So, keeping him at the minimum level required for him to fulfill his purpose makes it so that he's cheap to revive.

I think it's a nice detail that the lizard wearing the "White Dragon Bone" armor speaks with difficulty, since it decreases the user's intelligence in exchange for defense and can become as hard as mithril or adamantite, but it's a shame that the anime didn't take the time to explain the sacred treasures of the lizardmen tribes.

Iirc, the defense scales with how much intelligence is lost and, the current owner, used to be one of the smartest lizardmen. So, it's at basically full power with the current owner.

the abelion sheep = the people of abelion .he makes the skin by peel it from them , while still alive, curing it into parchment then healing them to redo it all over again.

Episode 016 I really don't think there is much to explain because this chapter was quite clear, but maybe there are some aspects that raise doubts and I will try to compliment them with information from the novels. The first part is the fight between Zaryusu and Zenberu. The former possesses an ice sword that he acquired on his travels and is considered a treasure among all the Lizardmen tribes. The first effect that Frost Pain has is to throw a certain number of blasts of ice that freeze the enemy, the problem is that this attack has already become famous among the Lizardmen and naturally Zenberu knows it. In Dungeons & Dragons, a Monk is a type of fighter who uses his own body as a weapon and makes it so strong that his fists can destroy steel. It also turns out that Zemberu has a skill or Martial Art that reflects an attack. So Zenberu's Plan was to trick Zaryusu into using his sword attack and then reflect it back at him. That's why he initially fights using a halberd, trying not to let Zaryusu know that he is a Monk. But Zaryusu notices it and instead of using his main technique he uses a passive ability of his sword, which is to freeze everything that comes in contact with it. This is how he gets victory. The reason why Frost Pain isnt breaking is likely due to it being a magical weapon so it looks like Ice but its not really Ice (idk more so if people know please reply to this comment) Then we see the meeting of the Lizardmen bosses and some of them have famous treasures like Zaryusu's Frost Pain. In particular i want to mention the boss Kyuku Zuzu who wears bone armor all the time covering his body and is supposed to be harder than Mithrill. The problem is that every time he takes it off this armor loses his intelligence a bit and that's why he takes so long talking, because it's hard for him to remember how to do it. This is another example of how Wild Magic, which was the original power of the New World, works: Always give something in exchange for something else. In the fake Nazarick we see that Cocytus uses message scrolls without worrying, because Demirugo already managed to make them in the New World. At the moment Cocytus orders the advance we see a scene with Ainz that reveals one thing: The way Cocytus is doing things is not what he would like, but he allows it to happen anyway. And indeed, when the battle begins, we immediately see that although the Undead are numerous, they have no strategy behind them. Cocytus simply sent them marching forward without any regard for the terrain, the number of enemies, or their positions. The Lizardmen start to win relatively easily thanks to their tactics and Cocytus realizes he made a mistake. So, the Guardian calls Demiurge to ask him for advice and Demiurge reveals that from the beginning the forces given to Cocytus were insufficient to ensure victory and they also reveal two things: Ainz forbade Cocytus from fighting himself or showing himself on the field of battle; and the name of Nazarick was not mentioned. However, when Demiurge is about to explain more things to us, Entoma, the Battle Maid who watches everything Cocytus does also uses a “Message” scroll and suddenly Demiurge cuts off the communication. When the undead Iguva, who according to some theories is made out of the corpse of the Adventurer Igvarge(not confirmed, except that he is made out of a corpse from the new world), intervenes, the main boss squad engages him. The problem is the range of his fireballs that doesn't let anyone get close. The Hydra Rororo can do it because his ability is regeneration, which allows him to heal his wounds and so he can last just long enough. In the final fight we see a major weakness of Frost Pain: It also freezes its user. But despite that Zaryusu uses it at close range to blind Iguva and kill him. We finally see that the lizardmen's heroic battle earned the respect of Cocytus, who is made in the image of Bushido Warriors. Im glad to see you having fun with this Chapter Angel ^^ Well, I hope this explains some things that maybe weren't very obvious in the midst of all the action we see in the Anime. It is quite an exciting chapter after all.
