Indeed i think ive mentioned similar before, izanagi and izanami are the parents of susano'o , ametarasu, and tsukiyomi. The komui are the gods of the native Japanese ( the ainu) who live in a parallel dimension.

A lot of manga readers hated Naruto's panic attack when it happened, so good to see someone appreciate the bit of realism it added to the situation. Also, Danzo's baku summon is based on a mythological creature that is similar to a tapir. The baku (mythology) is also the basis for things like Drowzee (Pokemon), which is known for using Hypnosis and Dream Eater, the Yugioh card Bagooska, and various other things. Tapirs being connected to dreams is a common trope in Japanese media.

Kishimodo famously regretted adding substitution into Naruto. Back then, it was a much smaller story never meant to get this huge. At some point he started phasing it out. He only added it because it's a famous ninja trick in Japanese stories. Like how a rabbit from a hat is a famous magician trope. Also, shape shifting was a power of the Japanese mythical kyubi from folklore. Which is why Naruto was talented at that from the beginning when he was meant to literally be the fox demon instead of just its host.

I don't think that substitution would work anyway. There weren't many places to hide on a bridge, not to mention they had a strong sensory ninja and sharingan users to locate and probably weed out the substitutions. The point of Danzo's battle was the surprise from Izanagi being in play and no one knowing about it. It literallly seemed like they would kill Danzo and he would just respawn and it not being a genjutsu or substitution to confuse them.

Purely as a bit of information without my personal opinion to help put Sakura in context with the show. female ninjas are called konoichi in context of historical writings , which Naruto follows, the training and main uses of konoichi is as spies and saboteurs (we see this in Demon Slayer ). Essentially they are trained to use seduction and manipulation to gather intel and get men to do do what they want, this is also understood by Shinobi (male ninja) which explains the lack of suprise by kakashi and yamato, and to a degree sai. There are exceptions to how konoichi are used however

Danzo deserves more credit here. I absolutely hate the guy, but for someone who wasn't born with any OP powers he managed to bridge the gap. If he was facing just about anyone else he would have a decent chance. If Sasuke couldn't just keep spamming high power moves beyond his limit it would have ended differently.

I don't hate you but I disagree...perhaps the uchiha massacre was necessary, who knows? But Sasuke taking vengeance upon the man who ordered the execution of his entire family for the sake of politics is a debt that must be paid and does not make the sacrifice meaningless...maybe you needed THAT sacrifice, and the sacrifice of Danzo as well...as far as in reference to the village, Sasuke deserves his revenge against the village for what they did, he's justified

Nah if Danzo's ideology is putting the village in front of everything, there will be other people like Sasuke who put someone's life in front of everything, to Sasuke.. Itachi's life is more precious than the village. Sasuke is an avenger. It does not matter if the sacrifice is meaningless or not. Also to note.. Uchiha does not have to sacrifice themselves in the first place, the village are the first one who messing things up toward Uchiha, they shouldve sorted that out without any sacrifice, or maybe make it a lot less of a sacrifice.

Yeah Danzo is definitely a good fighter but only bc he stole a lot of abilities (sharingan, hashirama cells, etc.) And also he has the whole Root team behind him. Without these, even Naruto before sage mode arc could probably win against him, but idk.

Something not everyone knew but it was mentioned before this point, a non-Uchiha / non-Hyuuga can use their dojutsu but they can't turn it off. The guy at the 5 Kage summit with a Byakugan also had his "sealed" so it wasn't constantly draining his chakra. The same goes for danzo and Kakashi. they conceal their dojutsu to prevent it from using chakra 24/7. It's like a lightbulb with no switch.

While watching this fight again I had an interesting thought, what if sasuke just kept holding danzo on 2:35 ? He wouldnt reappear somewhere else because he wouldn't die or even receive injuries and he cant deactivate the jutsu because he cant move so he will just sit there until all of his eyes close and then he will die. If sasuke knew about the izanagi and how it works he could've done just that or at least tried.

Just to note, izanagi is basically borrowing(copying) power of the sage of six paths. He could literarily picture something and make it reality. Izanagi let's you take reality and shape it in the way that is advantageous

@@jewelabyss "if he dies"-I believe that's not true. Danzo can die even 100 times during those 60 seconds. It's just that animators wanted to show us that his eyes keep closing. They did it to speed up the battle. Otherwise we would have to wait real 60 seconds just to see each of his eyes close.The way they did it mislead people to think that Danzo used up his eye when he died.

This is a really cool fight, but it really should have been super difficult to kill Danzo even once. Or at least Danzo should be using his deaths to his advantage, with jutsu that takes him out along with his enemies or something. After his first death, he just tries to stab through the susano with a regular kunai and wastes that one perfect surprise attack. And we're not even going to talk about the shiruken death. Danzo was supposed to be a hokage level fighter, or close to one, and one who can cheat death on top of that skill. He should not have been this easy to fight.

I understand that what did Sakura is bad but i don't feel it that much worse, many characters on this anime did way more fucked up things, i think that it burns close to you Fax and you will never forgive her. For me, there was nothing to forgive, she thought that she could bring Naruto to stop going after Sasuke, she felt that it was because of her, and she was willing to live a life with a man that dosen't love for keeping Naruto alive and happy.

It’s not abt the lvls of the actions it’s the fact she’d manipulate naruto over her own selfishness. She believes by saying those things and killing sasuke herself she’d be freeing naruto from a promise that in reality wasn’t his driving force, her love an want to be with sasuke made her think it’s okay to emotionally manipulate her closest friends into doing things for her. Naruto knows she doesn’t love him she just wants to get to sasuke first and he knows that she’ll be broken if sasuke is as far gone as naruto thinks and he was gone at that point he’s hyperventilating because his hopes and dreams of being hokage with a peaceful team 7 is coming crashing down

He's fighting Sasuke who is using susanoo - a technique that offers one of the best defenses and also destructive offensive long range attacks....you tell me how many characters could stand up to that without any issue? And Danzo used a kunai to test the Susanoo. Up until this point he didn't know how strong it is. This is why he attacks it with his wind style jutsus (which almost tore it open to let him get at Sasuke within it)

@@Rakerong I am just saying that there are better ways to test out how strong Sasuke's susanoo is like simply throwing the kunai maybe with an explosive tag instead of getting close range where you are open to an attack by Sasuke like he was. if you don't know the defense of an opponent why would you do a close-range attack? wouldn't it have been better to use long-range attacks first to test out his defensive before trying short-range?

@@roden706 He has the lives to spare. But each attack gradually built up to see what could work. The second attack with the kunai was supposed to see if he could strike from behind the Susanoo but he now knows that regular ninja weapons won't work and that close range is out of the question. That's when you see him using ninjutsu and wind style attacks when possible. Meanwhile, Sasuke used his strongest attacks and tired himself out testing out Danzo's strength, as Madara mentioned. If he and Karin weren't there then Sasuke would have exhausted himself out way early.
