People are so stupid, honestly. I am a singer and what Labrie could do back in the day was just incredible. His vocal range is excepcional and he has a lot of technique. But poeple who doesn't understand the vocal instrument just talks bulshit about a guy who plays with a great band that demands a lot of his vocal health. Concerts with 2 hours or more in a tour with fucking high notes all the time and people wants him to do it well all the time, or as the studio version which he's obviously with his voice rested. These people are so fucking ignorant danm. When you sing in a high performance like him, in the third or fourth music your voice starts to be tired and it's necessary manage the stamina, choice what notes reach and what are dispensable for the entire concert quality performance. Imagine that in every show in the tours for years.

Singers are always going to get the most shit in any band, because their voices change naturally and a lot of them lose that upper range. I wonder if DT have started down-tuning their songs yet.

it's the band's mistake too. When they're on tour, they have shows almost everyday, more than 2 hours. It was 3 hours in Istanbul. I felt sorry for LaBrie actually. I don't blame him at all
@kingofdragontown96802 жыл бұрын
@@gringochucha They haven't and at this point the damage has been done to his voice, so that would do little to nothing. Take the 2017 Images and Words live album for example. They were tuned to D standard (from E originally) and Labrie still couldn't do it.

You know Petrucci cut his hair also, pretty much right after this right? When i saw G3 2001, I went to see Vai & Satch mainly. I knew JP was a KILLER guitar player since I had heard a DT song or two. I left that show with a new favorite guitar player. Watching him play those G3 songs was mind blowing. (Damage Control, Glassgow Kiss, Jaws of Life, etc..) They were the early versions of the songs before he recorded them on cd. The album is great, but I saw those songs played when they were fresh!
