I was in Pago back in the day and the boys/men (friends) from the village would make Fa'ausi during special holidays or Aiga to'ana'i. It was made of grated taro or Green papaya and coconut milk. Then wrapped in banana leaves and baked in the umu. They burnt sugar on the heated rocks from the umu, dipped and stir the rock into coconut milk for the sauce. It's the BEST thing ever. Another delicious thing they did with leftover grated taro and coconut milk mix was pour them in empty grated coconut shells and baked them in the umu. It was faiai talo.. like pikaki, but with taro.. I remember it very well... Great video.

The way I do it. I peel the taro then cut it. Wash it with water then put it in a foil then roasted for hour and a half. After that take the foil off and put the roasted taro in a ulo pour water in it then boil it until it cook. Drain the water live it for a while until it dry while I prepare the burning sugar with condensed milk. While I'm waiting for the sugar and condensed milk to reach boiling point. I cut up the taro into small cubes then put in the bowl and and the sugar and condensed milk cream with it .Stir it together and ready to serve with ice cream

Congratulations are in order... wow wee. That’s beautiful news. My niece, was pregnant all the way to her seventh month. (Without knowing) She was always told by doctors that she couldn’t have babies. So she always thought that she wouldn’t. But my mum didn’t let Doctors deprive her granddaughter of being a mother and my mum would always ask God to bless her grandchild with her own baby. God answered my mums prayers and blessed my niece with 2 blessings and you having yours too Angie. Congratulations once again 💕💕💕
