The Overwatch Open comprises of online phases for European and North American teams ran and broadcast by FACEIT, as well as Regional and Grand Finals, which will take place at Turner Studios’ E-LEAGUE arena in Atlanta. The Grand Final will be presented live both on TBS and all stages via Twitch.

Faze should have switched to a roadhog when they started countering Shadowburn imo. He would have shut down the winston and still protected their backline from Tviq's counter genji, as well as being able to out-dm mcree easily. Great match tho

Good point. I think a lot of teams aside from Misfits struggled to properly counter opposing comps and/or hero swaps in this tournament, even some of the top teams like Rogue/Faze/Envy. Rogue had some bad swaps in this game - Reinforce swaps off Rein at 37:50 which lets Twoeasy annihilate them with Mccree, 10 minutes later Winz tilt-swaps off Zarya only to switch back with 1 min left, etc. In the final Envy was too hesitant in swapping Hog for Mccree, and they just refused to swap Ana for Zen to counter the Tracer on KOTH. Meanwhile Misfits were swapping Mei for Mccree the second they saw Pharah/Mercy come out.

As ZP said, their problem is that their flex is also their winston player. So they have little tank flexibility which will be detrimental in the long run. I really think they need to either have their main tank diversify or change the roster so you can adapt to other team comps. If faze could do that they could easily be a top 2 team in Europe. I do also understand that it can be hard to think of hero counters when youre in the middle of a tense fight, but thats what you need to do to be the best.

They also lost Eichenwalde because they didnt switch to Rein til the very end and so they would just get stuffed into choke points and have Rogue's dps heroes destroy them. As soon as they switched to reinhardt, they won because they could get through and take positioning to use ults effectively. There was no excuse for playing winston for more than 1 life on the last point. There were no squishy heroes on Rogue to kill and they had a reaper. I feel like he didnt switch cause winston compliments the genji/tracer dive comp atyle which faze loves cause its so agressive. Again a lack of diversity
