I am enlightened with your attention to detail after viewing this, and reinforce’s my decision to purchase another bass from you, I own an AC 5 I love it , it works so well with my upright playing, and looking forward to receiving my BN5 sometime soon, keep up the good work through these testing times, regards; James H. Kirk.

Awesome job on the video tour. Almost as good as being there...but less chance of getting drool on the basses!

Hi George, I love that video clip. I played many great fretless basses, MTD, Fodera, Warwick, and the like, but NONE, and I do mean NONE, has the SOUND and FEEL like a AC6 fretless. I'm saving my money now so I can OWN one. (I might called it a ETP6) You and Alain (I love his work) created a Masterpiece! Love that bass!

Thank you for the Tour... I was invited to your video by Virpotaajs. Do you have a video that demonstrates the fret-less bass you showed in the tour that sounds just like an acoustic? If not, is there any way you can show us the bass in a bit more detail? I'd love to hear its sound and know about it. While you're at it, any Dealers in South Florida area?

Great sound! Can you please make a video comparing VF models made of ash/maple with alder/rosewood? So I still can't decide what sound is better, and what bass to order...

Looks like exceptional work all the way around. Why did you not play the one that was supposed to sound like an acoustic bass? I like hearing the unique tones, not just seeing the unique workmanship, I wish I lived closer, I would stop by..
@FBassInc12 жыл бұрын
Hi alexeyzavolokin, we will do a video comparing the two at some point but in the meantime.... Ash/maple is brighter than the smoother alder/rosewood combo. Ash will emphasize the high and low end (with slightly scooped mids) whereas alder has more of a midrange presence and is more even across the eq spectrum. Hope this helps your decision!

It was our pleasure Hakulanni : ) The fretless with the upright tone is our AC-Classic model. Details, specs, and photos can be found on our fbass.com website. We have eight AC-Classic videos on our KZbin channel (some with better quality than others) and one with Alain Caron himself explaining his custom version. Our dealer in Florida is Bass Central KZbin won't allow me to post links so if you have any other questions feel free to email me at marcel@fbass.com. Hope this helps!

What kind of strings do you put on your basses ?
@FBassInc6 жыл бұрын
Hey there, we use our F Bass exposed-core strings (made for us by LaBella, they're very similar to their Super Steps) on our BN's and Fretlesses. We use DR Nickel Low Riders on our VF's made with Rosewood fingerboards and DR Steel Fat Beams on VF's made with Maple fingerboards.

I tried out a five string bass F once about 10 years ago, I still have a sore shoulder bass weighing at least 5 kg which is almost two kilograms too much! Are all F basses that heavy
@FBassInc7 жыл бұрын
Hey @pleximanic, while it's true that we are fans of the tone a medium-heavy bass produces (our favourite clocking in at around 9.75lbs), we offer lighter weight basses upon request....achievable through wood and hardware options. For further details you can reach us directly by phone or email. www.fbass.com/company/contact
