Yaser Abdel Said was finally caught August of last year. His son (the girls brother) is also in custody along with his brother (Yasers brother). The son got 10 years and the brother got 12 for concealing a fugitive. I don't believe Yaser has been sentenced yet. Before knowing about this case Yaser was my cab drive one day and his name printed in my brain because of how unusual it was. I later seen the documentary about the girls called the price of honor. The name was very familiar to me. Then at the end they mentioned he has ties to NY and he drives a cab I got freaked out.
