They laughed at his vision back then but look at street style fashionistas today. All are children of Galliano the genius.

This was a visionary collection far beyond just clothing 'it was brutal theater of history played out on the catwalk and something that Mr Galliano did better than anyone before or since .it made you uncomfortable with its use of natives lineage but you also marveled at its unique beauty and hope that the designer did more than borrow from its people but also schooled himself with knowledge about the them and their customs. theres a word or phrase today for what this is called that doesn't come to mind for me at the moment but I know you certainly wouldn't get away with such a show today 'but let's hope that people can view this now and appreciate it for what fashion can do in the hands of a young hungry and 'curios genius .who sought inspiration from the world at large .I hope I didn't offend anyone and if so I'm truly sorry for any ignorance on my part 🙏💛

4:52 OMG the snowdrift suit! ABSOLUTE GENIUS. Galliano put snowdrift embroidery on the shoulders so it looked like the model was standing in the snow wearing a black suit and it had started to collect at the shoulders, but it's actually embroidered to look that way. Such a romantic idea, NOBODY makes clothes with this much thought into them anymore. I hope Galliano comes back ;_;
