1st in GA, Not placed in Nationals
Did not make finals. We were extremely unlucky to be cut off from finals, but hopefully this video will give new ideas for future competitors.
Tips for future competitors:
Do NOT focus on the video, focus on presentation. Most of the judges will give you full points on video itself as long as you sorta check the criteria, but it doesn’t need to be anything complicated. Your actual placement comes down to your presentation and whether the judges like you.

that final tip is completely true, your presentation is everything. you can use it as a bandaid to cover up imperfections in you project and that may carry you to placing at states or nationals

@@christianlee5666 Haha, I was actually the guy filming it; I never showed up in the video lol. Just wondering, what camera did you shoot this with?

@@ryankim246 Used my iPhone haha, that's why it's very blurry and over saturated! I tried using a dslr at first, but it was way too hard to make the transitions with it, and we kept getting terrible pixel errors for the tracking.

Do you mind explaining to me why you didn't place in nationals? This video was 1000x times better than those that I saw that placed. Overall, I thought you did amazing and thought that this would have easily placed first.

The video itself isn’t a big part of the grade. You can use iMovie with the basic effects and still get full points. Presentation is where you truly need to shine. That said, higher video quality still can impact your chances, and it’s something you should focus on.
