FBR is hiring CAs from the firms in Pakistan that are themselves involved in tax evasion or avoidance of big companies. This i the level of FBR's competence.

FBR is a rent seeking department only, they are pain in the *** causing mere pain to people who are filing tax. I got a notice from FBR at my person income tax registration, to integrate my business with POS system. Whereas my business is already integrated with FBR POS, which is stated as well in its own tax registration as an AOP.

This is FBR's way to extort money from tax filers. This is really incredible, both Fin & Prime Ministers tells us FBR is corrupt and simulatiously they are empowering FBR to block SIM, to freeze account, to stop creating new bank accounts, etc. FBR never had it so good, every FBR employee is minting money.

The tax to gdp ratio is infact much higher. Reason being that the gdp is inflated by fudging the data to show higher than actual economic growth. But the fictional gdp can't generate additional revenues.
