It's obvious that Foden needs to be benched, not Jude - otherwise totally agree with you lads. Gordon on the left instead of Foden, and Foden is a phenomenal impact sub for Jude when he tires. FG's option of dropping Jude deeper and having Foden at 10 could be a plan b that could be ok, but plan A has to be Foden benched for Gordon for exactly the reasons Andy was saying about the Scholes argument.

Imo the front 4 striker cam and 2 wingers to have a real chance against Switzerland is Watkins , Gordon , foden , cole , mainoo Jude , Trent gomez , stones Walker and then Pickford in goal so you can shift up to a 352 Trent playing at a rwb so can can still ping balls up but defend as well or a 3421 with Phil and cole playing as the other cf otherwise Switzerland 3 England 1 cuz akanji will mark kane outta the game because they want the physical challenge it’s easy and fun for them

I like the chance to have more of the new cards, but personally would just not allow chem breakers for squad building at all (ie. use normal versions of card for squad building for all guessing). Think it would make it easier to follow instead of allowing 1 chem breaker and sometimes not knowing if it's used or not. Hope that makes sense

I’ll get hate for this but I do think we are missing a Phillips type of player who will sit and protect the defence. Phillips was the best mid in the Euros 21 and Rice played better next to him. Southgate had all this season to try someone else, like Mainoo, next to Rice and Bellingham.

Full disclosure, I am an American and dont watch soccer too often. All of my soccer knowledge is from FIFA and hearing you guys talk to each other. In every video for the past 2 months, when someone asked you what your ideal starting 11 is, you said “Kane, Foden, Rice, Bellingham, Walker” and every other player that you just mentioned. You are now saying that none of these guys should be playing and that they should be doing something completely different. There is a reason why Southgate is the manager and you guys are not. Bellingham can absolutely play as a 10, with Mainoo and Rice behind him. The wingers are the issue, Foden and Saka out for Gordon/ Eze and Palmer. Or play 3 at the back with 5 midfielders, Eze and Pamlmer on the wings with Foden as the 10, Bellingham as the 8 and Rice as the holding.
