But remember, there was only one person who broke this style-->Mourinho. When Barca played with Inter in San Siro, I recall that the Special One was the only one who able to beat them 3-1. He took the Copa Del Rey from him in the final 1-0 from CR7. And finally the 2-1 result in the Camp Nou, when we got the La Liga. In the end, despite the fact that we did not get as much trophies as Barsca did, but ever since the special One came to Madrid up until now, we've won La Liga once, 2 Copa Del Rey, 1 UEFA Champiins Ligue, 1 European Super Copa, 1 Spanish Super Copa, and 1 World Cup. To me, we were not able to ein six trophies in the one season, but we won all the trophies in 5 years! Hala Madrid!i Fisca Barca.

Tiki Taka and "Spanish" Counter Attacking are both different however similar in other ways. I say Spanish counter attacking because Real Madrid were the only team I ever seen used really ideal positioning specific build up when starting a counter attack. Where by other teams usually just go long especially in the EPL, R. Marrid usually begin with a short build then a direct pass. Mourinho knew exactly what he was going for. One team exploits another team's defensive concentration the exploits defensive positioning however both styles require good ball control and an eye for a pass.

We do both now. Neymar especially is so freakin good at starting deadly counter attacks with his speed. Reminds me alot of Ronaldinho. Suarez as well is amazing at this. And we still do tiki taka, but with counter attacks. Doesn't get any better really. Barcelona is a better team than Real Madrid at the moment. Before they are equally as good. But this Barceona is too good. Their chemistry together, the whole team, it's just unreal. Everybody knows where everyone is at all times, it's insane. And the strikers focuses on getting goals, no matter who scores them. Suarez for example who is a striker, passes the ball to Messi and Neymar alot of times in situations he could score himself, but always looks for the other two. Real Madrid doesn't have this chemistry yet with all the new signings. They need more time to get this. This is why Barcelona is the better team at this moment. If you can't see this, then you are a pretty ignorant human being.

Francisco Soares Are you serious? Do you even watch football? Barcelona didn't have: Alves, Mascherano, Neymar or Messi in this pre-season. We used alot of youngsters who with the few first team players don't have good chemistry. Barca B got relegated from Segunda division, so it's no problem for me that they didn't do great in pre-season. The full first team has such amazing chemistry. First match with all players back against Roma, they fuck them up. Controlling the game, stopping counter-attacks. Having Alves and Mascherano back strengthens the defence alot. And with our trio on top who gets passed whatever team they play against. If you think "Barcelona" lost almost all games in pre-season, you are an ignorant cunt. The real Barcelona was back yesterday. Anyway, pre-season doesn't count anyways.

Tiki-taka is all about collective involvement, vision, technique and the speed of thought and passing. It's deadly and beautiful when executed right. Counterattack can be exciting if it's done with the quick transitions and slick passing like Dortmund. But Madrid's pressing always seemed to be against whoever, sit deep, break with Ronaldo. Boring and predictable, sometimes electrifying. You measure the worth of a style in its success and on that note, tiki-taka has owned it.

Tiki taka is much more difficult than counter attack. They always have to go to a prepared defence. And Barca players are masters of this. However many teams already found a way how to play against them. Very good defence and luck is enough sometimes. ;-)

Mohammed Ali Well, Ronaldo is a decent player too, he's a better athlete, no doubt about that, most of his goals are from penalties. Messi has a better understanding of the game overall, he assists more, scores more goals and makes the team play. The comment about Ramos was in response about your comment about Pique, tho it is true that Ronaldo can dribble away from Pique, the same case appears on the match Messi vs Ramos, (both Pique and Ramos, are top 5 central defenders). The problem with Ronaldo al +Silver Roger points out, he's 30 years, Messi is 3 years younger and has accomplished much more as a solo player. As Mourinho once stated, "Messi scored x-amounts of goals, that served for nothing" (When R. Both are different, Counter attack is attacking without worrying to pass and look for spaces, and the whole team goes forward, It is for Pacy players, Real madrid has without the doubt had the BBC - which is a known Attacking trio. In the other hand Barca looks for spaces they're too calm on the ball they had without a doubt one of the best midfielders of this generation, Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi the name is enough to shake teams. Counter attack can be done by any team in the world, what makes Real Madrid's counterattack 'deadly' is because of its fast players (most if not all of them are fast, even Varane and Ramos who are CB) especially the forwards (BBC).
