Looking back at this, this Bayern squad was easily one of the most complete lineups ever. You had a superstar shot creating wizard in ribery, a classic no.9 in gomez, a speed demon in robben, muller as a raumdeuter, kroos the deep lying playmaker, basti the box to box beast, alaba the jack of all trades guy, boateng a physically imposing cb, martinez another physical presence, lahm a great leader and manuel who's on par w/ the likes of buffon and casillas, even we have studs off the bench like mandzukic,etc. When people talk about the greatest starting XI's ever, they talk about milan's 05/07 team, united's 08 team, arsenal's 04' team. This bayern squad should also definetely be somewhere up there.
