Proofs that nightingale can survive even without module or pot4 at lv60 only. imgur.com/a/ojAl3iv In case your nightingale dies at the beginning. A easy way to fix that is just deploy skalter earlier than thorns and use the seaborn + cage to turn off fire above and below nightingale so they will not spread again. Or wait to get enough DP and deploy all of them together so the fire will be turn off all together. Since enemies doesnt come that fast to thorns you can deploy him a bit later. If the cage can't survive you can use extra ground units to turn off fire as well. If you lack of dp then you can bring some extra vanguards since i left 3 slots. I guess your nightingale probably dead because not only the fire explosion but also the cannon leader attacked her.

Confirmed. Before trying this, I tried baiting the shots and she did survive (but I lost anyway because of other reasons. my setup was a bit different and miniboss showing up made everything go to hell). Beat it using the advice in this thread

Mudrock to replace hoshi if your hoshi keeps dying. If you think she anti-synergize with Nightingale and Saria not being able to heal her, no. Her shield actually deals with the boss' burst better

Should be noted, after MUCH head scratching and frustration that in CM Nightingale needs at least 10 RES to survive the fire damage. E270 Nightingale was dying at the beginning on CM without her module at potential 1. 5 RES was not enough, and it took me many tries to notice that Kyo's Nightingale is potential 4, which boosts her RES to 15 without her module. The 5 RES from the module was just enough to get her to survive.

If your Hoshi dies, it's because she lacks HP and not dodging enough. Level her up or use the +1 Block max module to increase dodge. Also bring an extra defender just in case, Nian if possible. My E2 L55 Sora was able to replace Ptilopsis, and with her you could retreat Myrtle to deploy La Pluma or Highmore. Remember to do it before deploying Hoshi. You can use Sora's S2 to kill faster the big guys.

It's better to set up in this order: Myrtle, Mountain, Philopsis Skalter, Goldenglow Nightingale, Thorns, Puppet, Seaborn Saria, Hoshiguma When the boss sets all reeds on fire, activate Philopsis' skill or Myrtle may die.

my e2 60 myrtle survived the fire reeds with no problem on boss phase 2 so I think that is only a prob if your myrtle has not enough hp/low leveled like e2 lvl1 or something. You do not need a medic for left side early since fire is put off before myrtle takes damage and mountain can hold by himself just fine. The rest of the order doesnt really matter as long is the defenders are last since you have enough time to deploy everyone but the defenders before the first floating guy go to the right side anyway

Despite being level 77, my Nightingale kept on dying around 2:54 so I've brought in Texalter to drop onto rocket launcher from middle bottom red square. Later on Hoshi (82) died too when boss went into second phase, I've had Mudrock on hand luckily

If you find your Hoshi dying, Mudrock makes for a perfect replacement. My E2L40 Mudrock with Nightingale RES buff and Skalter healing was able to comfortably tank the boss (if you're paranoid you can bring Perfumer instead of Ptilopsis for even more passive healing). Myrtle can be replaced with a Lord/Reaper Guard if your Mountain is at a lower level (do this before deploying the defenders)

The trick is to realise that Eblana isn't actually that scary - she's just unkillable until you've cleared out her allies. Essentially, the only way to kill her is stall (but stalling her is easy). Hell, even Reed backing up Blemishine can stall her indefinitely (Even in phase 2!)

For the left side if you have hard time, like enemies breaching Mountain (mine is, because my Mountain is S2Lv7, so it's not enough to block enemies), change Myrtle to Silver Ash S3, activate his skill when you see a lot enemies coming. As for me, it's not Nightingale can't survive, it's my Hoshiguma can't XD

i switched myrtle with stainless for his S2 just before putting down the defenders to have his robots help charge thorn and nightingale skill faster. the robots also stays long enough to put out the fire when the boss 2nd phase triggered (put them on the reed platform around nightingale).

Forgoing Thorn in favor Light Abyssal Hunter engine (Gladiia, Skadi, Specter Alt, and Andreana) was a big mistake, but I still manage to sent Eblana's soul to the shadow realm. Reed Alt wasn't a good option to bring (although in theory it was decent), when I can bring Texas Alt instead to help clear the adds during Phase 2. Everything almost gone south at the end, I didn't bring wave clearing operator, Skadi Alt and Ceobe died... but goddammit, Abyssal Hunter with their monstrous HP stall Eblana like a floodgate made by Leonardo da Vinci in 1497, giving just enough time for the backup operator to pick them one by one.

I went with S2 Suzuran ,still facing right, over GG. She's able to take out the flyers by herself, has 25 resists, costs a nice chunk of DP less than GG providing for a faster setup, and her hitting 3 targets is handy as well. Depending on when you drop her, she'll be ready and able to take out the very first flyer by herself. Not quite as much offense on the boss, but the overall improvement in all other regards made her worth it. And instead of Ptilopsis, I went with my E2L40 Perfumer, for the extra bit of regen across the board. Though worth noting mine is mod3'd, so gets a bit of extra hp and regen% from that.

I did an experimental challenge mode clear using some of the robots - since they don't count against the deployment limit they can probably help a bit with the medal. Once I had 99 DP I was able to replace Myrtle with Castle-3, placed Lancet-2 facing down above Mountain, 'Justice Knight' facing down to his right, and then my AoE healer facing up below Justice Knight, which helped keep all of those tiles clear of fire and freed up an additional operator.

If anyone interested, I dont have a lot of these operators, i used the same strategy but with this operators: any other low level medic in the ptylopsis spot, ebenholz at the goldenglow spot, silence at the skalter spot, silverash at the thorn spot, ptylopsis at the nightingale spot, matoimaru at the hoshi spot, blaze or other high health at the saria spot, and used also ejafialla and castle 3 for the nightingale cages, support units is mountain, myrtle and mountain positions remain unchanged, remember to put the operator on the fire with castle 3 before placing the medic to assist mountain or deploy limit will ruin the try

I couldn't remember nor be agile enough for Kyo's low star strategy so I checked this. Successfully copied the strat but replaced - Mountain with Blaze S2 - Ptilopsis with Shining S2 - Goldenglow with Ceobe S2 Some op are deployed with different order and timing but the defenders are last. Some op are with modules. Blaze wasn't fast enough to kill the ember spawns from the bulky enemy so I need to deploy one more ground operator to help Blaze kill the last 2 after Eblana died, or else, it won't end 😂 Also, bring Nian but no need to deploy, to help support the defenders.

My Pot2, lvl 80, S2M3, No Module Hoshi had no issues in Normal mode, but she died repeatedly in Challenge mode. This was due to a combination of factors from what I've seen. Bad luck with dodge. The fact that my Skalter is lvl 80 and my Nightingale is lvl 70. Also, Saria lvl 80, no Module. All of these factors combined meant that she couldn't tank well enough and didn't receive enough healing. I suspect that the fact that my Thorns and Goldenglow were also 80 also affected things, because it reduced the speed with which they destroyed Eblana's sigils... which slows down Saria's ability to heal Hoshi even further. Luckily, I had enough ops to just substitute around a bit until she was back up, and she definitely lasts better when there aren't any of those mortars around... but odds are that some substitutions may be in order for other people because for me, Challenge mode was very on the edge. Mudrock is a good choice if she's high enough. Her shields will tank any sort of damage once and they'll eat some of Eblana's crap more often than not. On top of that, Mudrock has a default 10 Res, and with Nightingale, that'll increase to 25 at the very least, which means she'll handle the damage from Eblana better in general. Furthermore, the healing from Skalter and the usage of S2 will further improve her survivability. I've tested it with my Pot2, E2 80 Mudrock and the run seems a lot more stable than with Hoshi. No RNG dodge stupidity. It'd definitely be a different story if the boss was physical though. Hoshi's def is much stronger.

@@bencoad8492 Don't forget that the levels of your Caster, Thorns and Skalter can all also have their impacts on how it all works.. However, yes, it's possible that Nightingale's module is needed. Or it's possible that you had bad luck with Shield timings. Or it's possible that it's necessary to kill the mortars that spawn while Eblana's around so they don't break Mudrock's shield so it always tanks Eblana's stuff. (You can do that the easiest with a Nearlter S2, since no slots are needed) There are a lot of variables I haven't personally tested. That's the thing with Arknights. Unless you mimic something to the last detail, there's always a chance of deviations happening in harder content.

It might sounds absurd and impossible but i replaced my Nightingale with my Mulberry (E2 Lv. 30 S1M0), GG with Eyja (E2 Lv. 80 S2M3), Hoshi (E2 Lv. 60 S2M3) without Module and bring another fast-redeploy operator, Gravel best example, to put out the fire on the right-upper corner just to test it out of curiosity. Managed to clear it on normal and on CM For those questioning how is that possible to deploy 10 operators despite the maximum deploy limit is 9, when the boss revives and spread the fire, retreat Myrtle and place the fast-redeploy operator on the right corner to put out the fire, cause Mountain can survive on his own with his S2 + Ptilopsis healing and the left base.

I'm gonna have to use a different strategy, I'm missing like half of this setup and I just don't have the old 6-stars. And to make matters worse my Mountain, Hoshi, and Nightingale are all E1 still (I used the 6star selector pack to get her like a week ago). I did get to phase 2 on non-CM with Eunectes & Eyja on the right lane and Gavialter + Lappland holding the left lane, but Eunectes couldn't handle phase 2 and the fire-buffed purple guys mowed down Gavialter. I might need to get creative. I'm not stopping yet, I got through ex-7 all on Challenge mode so I just need a little cheese to get there. I'm not gonna miss another medal set when I'm this close.

@@tempota7792 Mudrock was the solution. I covered her with Max Module Perfumer and GG s2 while Mlynar was bait / nuker. Worked most of the time. Sometimes Perfumer would get targeted and blown up so I had to be careful, but got every medal last night. Now I can farm while waiting for Chongyue to show up.

I've been wondering the same thing. I've had to make do with Gummy for months because I don't have Saria or Nearl. When the game gets this tough you just have to use a normal defender and a bunch of medics to do the same thing. I used my last 6-star selector ticket on Nightingale and I think I'll use the next one on Saria if she doesn't show up soon. She's just too crucial for my gameplay style.

I think there is some rng, my e2 90 defenders died too in phase 2 in 1 of my practice cm runs. I am thinking of bring silence as medic for left side instead so I can put the healing drone instead of seaborn for some healing to see it is more stable. Got to wait for daily reset now to test it, ran out of practice plans Edited: Just tested it, did not helped much defender still die sometimes when unlucky(?). Think I am going to change out skalter for another medic instead.

This is probably impacted by the elemental damage level on Nightingale, so that the new batch of flames will fill the circle, trigger the effect, and consequently mess with her. You can avoid this by delaying when you deploy NG until you have enough to drop her, skalter's pet, and one of her cages at about the same time. Or, alternately, you can deploy an op above NG first (I used Bagpipe, since Chargers fully refund their base DP cost when retreated), and then NG and Skalter's pet, again, to minimize the risk of extra elemental damage on NG. And then with Thorns in place and all the fires out, retreated Bagpipe. I also used Perfumer in place of Ptilopsis, for that little bit of teamwide regen to take the edge off things.

my lvl 64 hoshi can survive (barely) and she has no mastery on the 2nd skill. However, I think it is because I used a very good support nightingale and my skalter has mastery 2 on her skill. To get both bosses faster on that side, I recommend switching out myrtle on the left and putting in any ranged dps on the right, below hoshi's spot. You may risk mountain leakage on the left but since I don't have a mountain, I used a blaze and healer combo on the left once you have enough dp. You'll get there! Good luck.

Try using defender with high hp or high res. I tried using matterhorn and he work just fine even on cm. Eunectes might be a good defender since she had ridiculous amount of hp but her skill did self stun.

For some reason if Myrtle dies to fire left, everything else collapses. Use Ptil’s skill right as boss sets everything on fire and bring a backup to catch leaks in case she still dies (I brought texalter)

@@inmediasrays My right side died. Left side had no issues. I added nian to the squad for extra Hitpoints passive so hoshi survives. I think its some timing issue which can cause the fire elemental dmg and bosses normal attack to instakill hoshi. the extra hitpoints solved it for me, max lvl hoshi and module was not enough. To be precise all the OPS were max lvl and module. But all potential 1 if that matters.

1 bomb on closest target in phase 1, 2 in phase 2. If you want to take some stress of your healers, place a FReD behind boss right before skill to bait the 2nd bomb.

You don't really need Saria or Thorns if you can take someone like Kal'tsit since she both works as damage and Monster can tank the debuff. You could also replace Saria with some fast re-deploys or something similar since you just need someone to keep the debuff off your DPS units. You will want to borrow Skalter for that extra defence and attack though.

Thorn can be replaced with lappy. Its crucial since you might leak that jetpack guy. For saria any good staller or defender is good, try using defender nearl as she can also boost healing received. Skalter is irreplacable on cm, but on normal mode just use lumen or purestream.

You don't actually need thorns, because his job was just to kill the jetpack dude and make the boss and mini boss die faster, just deploy kroos alter facing left at the bottom of nightingale to stun those jetpack dude( note that she will die when elbana uses her disarm bomb, but it's fine cause they only appear in the first phase ) or just replace with any lord guard. Skalter, just use any aoe medic ( swap nightingale to skalter's place and deploy any good aoe medic in place of nightingale ) but your hoshi might need to be maxed and for Saria just replace her with nearl, gummy or funnily enough matterhorn is doable too ( you don't need any healing from them, they are there just for tanking the bomb )

maybe can replace with defender but you need to replace myrtle with ranged guard subtype to deal damage

Mine using Blaze and Replace Myrtle with laplad/silverash And change Skalter with Perfumer Glassglow with Amiya Caster Skill 3. It take a quite a while to kill her but at least it work for me.

Blaze or gavialter will do the job. You could also use any dps and swap myrtle with any defender after you had enough dp. But use strong medic in turn like warf or silence.
