One of the Fifa offside rules says "A player is in an offside position if any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent". Note "second last opponent", which normally is the a field player with the goalie being the last defender, but can be any player (in this case 2 field players). BUT: Offside position in itself is not an offense. In this case (Referee apparently ruled offside in the midfield area) it truly is NOT an offense because the last defender of FCZ plays the ball with his head, thus negates the offense. See MBappé's goal 2 weeks ago in the Nations League which was allowed to stand even though MBappé was in an offside position, because Spanish defender Eric Garcia touched the ball when trying to play it.
