I know comparisons to Messi are getting old, every new kid is “the next Messi” but… this kid just might be it, in a different way. The best part is that he’s effectively flashy, not to show off, but practical in his display of skills, not to humiliate opponents with unnecessary flair, instead he’s pragmatic in his ability to get past players, his dribbling is highly effective and succinct, so to say. And the correct split second decisions he makes, being a 17 yo, my goodness, this is a football brain in synchrony and symphony with a football body. I just hope the success doesn’t go to his head, he stays grounded, focuses on improving his already amazing skill-set, and remains humble. There will 100% be better players than Messi and all of the other legends. Kids nowadays just learn way too fast and build up skills at 15-16 that any 25-30 year old could never do. Even tactically they can learn so much faster than any older pro can. If Yamal stays injury free, he can get to Messi's level.
