@@gmailisaretard Texas seems to be pretty chill with that stuff. More trusting in people being competent. I'm a real fence sitter when it comes to safety education and procedure. I hate that red tape stuff. Except when it comes to finding historically significant stuff during construction and halting everything so as not to disturb anything until a team checks it out. Too much history has already been accidentally or purposefully destroyed over the years.

It doesn't actually vibrate. When Geoff is hitting the rock you can see that the tip doesn't move at all when he picks it up. They only hit in the push, the lever they flip over keeps it from falling out.

@lathedog i promise you the tip does move. It uses compressed air to oscillate up and down very quickly. Just because you don't see it move in a video that plays at 60fps doesn't mean it doesn't move

And yes, the hammer in the body does oscillate, but the tip is floating and only contacts the hammer when the body is pushed down. While pulling up, the only thing keeping the tip in is that clip they flip over early on, which is attached to the body, not the hammer.

Don't worry, you're not alone, I was actively dying during the video when I wasn't laughing. I just had to dig a 20 inch electrical trench for my garage's power, and after 25 feet I hit an abandoned septic tank. So suffice it to say this last few weeks I've become very familiar with how to use various shovels and my 35lb Bauer jackhammer.
