In case you're wondering, yes, *The Star* as it's been lovingly memed as, is 'stronger' than the normal Resurgence BF. Moreso in the sense that it is entirely unhinged. The Corruption in my headcanons typically maintains the personality of whoever it takes over, but Resurgence works uniquely due to the host typically being dead already, so it was already only working with *remnants* of Boyfriend to begin with. That combined with Spirit's dying influence and it quickly becomes a matter of an entirely unhinged Corrupted with the power of Resurgence Boyfriend. Even the three Dearests together would struggle.

@@RacketEPIC Resurgence BF and CSBF are different; CSBF isn't very different from most other Corrupted, in that they act very similar to their hosts but on a more twisted evil level. In Spirit BF's case it's hard to give a concrete answer because there isn't much coverage of his character. Resurgence BF in this video is fairly playful for that reason. The personality primarily being used is BFs; so it's a very lackadaisical method, and the fact that BF is dead actually makes that more obvious. The Corruption is basically feeding on remnants of his person, personality included. The reason the Star is so dangerous is because when he is wounded, that personality of BFs is wiped out entirely and replaced with a more malicious variant of the typical Corrupted; his mindset entirely fixated on killing. This in combination with his ridiculous power makes a nearly unstoppable force.

The following points could be added here. 2:01 Here one could add that rbf could lose his left eye. (I think due to the fact that he has an excess of strength.) 2:10 DD, seeing that RBF’s left eye was missing, began to attack, hoping to do something with it. Caused damage to rbf's left eye. RBF he covered his left eye with his hand after the DD attack. 2:45 RBF could say DD: Did you really think it would be that simple? You made a very big mistake... (if he can speak, of course...)

the outro was an addition i made (well, eric made it, but i told him to do it lol) because i was slightly disappointed with the original song *not* having one. it felt weird that it went silent for so long, yknow? it was literally my only gripe with the song. fun fact, the reason RBF gets knocked onto the ground is because of the wound itself; the star is an attack from Dearest. The white under it is BF's eyes (from the original uncorrupted form)

Is an uncorrupted resurgence timeline possible? Where does it become uncorrupted resurgence bf (or just anti-resurgence bf? I don’t know what else to call it) Like this lore: The spirit does not have time to remove the bf glitch during savestate, Because the evil pico broke the TV. Because of this, the very soul bf remains alive, as does the bf himself. All the remnants of the spirit mucus go to the bf and cleanses the entire body of corruption (if you look at the fact that the resurgence bf itself was not corrupted at the beginning.) The evil pico realizes what he has done and runs away. Bf doesn’t understand what happened, and sees that he has the power of spirit (or the power of resurgence? If the spirit is dead.) Thinking that fate had given him a second chance, he decided to go to DD. Ricochet + chances but bf just decides to help dd, without any deals. Then the gf comes, and behind them is a crowd of сorrupted people with evil pico, spooky kids and MM. Full circle but chromatic anti-resurgence bf.
