Hi Abhay, In the event of a bank going bankrupt, RBI & DICGC have prescribed a comprehensive process which can be found below 1. After a bank goes bankrupt, it will publish it in the press and media and same will be published on the DICGC website, informing its depositors and the public at large about the bankruptcy. 2. Depositors then fill out the DICGC claim form online and provide alternate bank account details where they want the amount to be credited. Depositors get 45 days to fill out this form 3. DICGC then reviews all the claims and settles the amount as per the insurance limit for each depositor 4. The liquidated bank settles the amount back into the depositor's bank account within 45 days. The whole process may take up to 90 days. Stable Money will be with you at each step of the way in case such a situation comes to pass.

This allows you to take advantage of the best FD rates available at different times. Additionally, if you need money urgently, you can withdraw from a specific FD without affecting your other FDs. Creating monthly Fixed Deposits is different from starting Recurring Deposits (RD) where in monthly amount gets added to an RD which all matures at the same end date. In the case of monthly FDs, the maturity amount of each FD will be as per the tenure chosen.
