FDNY Firetruck Crash Manhattan

11/28/2024 // By FDRV // 3rd Avenue and 112th street, Manhattan - At around 845pm on thanksgiving FDNY Ladder 43 was involved in a major motor vehicle accident with a passenger vehicle. The FDNY apparatus lost control following the collision and veering onto the sidewalk, crashing through a citi bike stand and fences ultimately coming to a rest in the courtyard of 2055 3rd Avenue(a building within the Jefferson Housing Project). The passenger vehicle hit multiple parked cars on the other side of Third Avenue and the front passenger needed to be extricated. The firefighters of ladder 43, the unit involved in the crash, immediately went to work to treat and extricate the injured passenger of that vehicle. That passenger was removed in serious condition and transported to Harlem Hospital by FDNY EMS.
