Parks Dept needs to start maintaining these parks and forest areas better. Lack of manpower and removing dead trees, over growth and years of dead leaves would help this problem

They def do. I know they have 1/10th of 1% of nyc’s budget but seeing them in action many years by my local park I can say they are some of the laziest people around. So much so that a guy used to mow the grass across the street from his house in the park because he was tired of seeing it overgrown. And don’t get me started in my local dog park on Staten Island

Thanks to all of you! Wondering about the hydrants that are in the park. They used to work but maybe they are defunct now.

I’m sure all of these are from some sort of human cause or origin, but have any been thought to be or found to be deliberately set?
